Symbol font now available.

The first sentence mentions “all”, “rocks”, and a word whose root denotes movement.

[sym]eidwmen[/sym] means “we see”, and as was pointed out, [sym]eggkefalon[/sym] means head.

Beyond that, I’m lost. It’s been too long since I took Greek.

Here’s my chance to practice posting Symbol font blind. Let me know how I did.

[Sym]kinhsai[/Sym] - probably Aorist active infinitive of [Sym]kinew[/Sym] - “to have set into motion”.
[Sym]petron[/Sym] - accusative of [Sym]petros[/Sym] - a stone. Got it.
[Sym]eidwmen[/Sym] - 2nd Perfect Active Subjunctive 1pp of [Sym]oida[/Sym] - “we might know”?
[Sym]egkephalon[/Sym] - accusative of [Sym]egkephalos[/Sym], brain. Note, though, that it has only one [Sym]g[/Sym]. Remember that the [Sym]g[/Sym] sounds like a [Sym]v[/Sym] before a [Sym]k[/Sym] as well as another [Sym]g[/Sym].

I can’t identify [Sym]Pantw[/Sym] - it’s no form of [Sym]paV, pasa, pan[/Sym] that I’m familiar with. It looks like it should be the straight form of a verb, though. [Sym]troqenta[/Sym] has me stumped. [Sym]iaqenta[/Sym] might be some form of [Sym]iaomai[/Sym] (heal), maybe?

My translation:

I do something to have moved a stone.
But something that we might know something brain.

Maybe
"I tossed a stone into the air
It made a hole beneath my hair … "

Now I can’t think
But where I drink
People with rocks for brains ain’t rare

(That’s an original composition, BTW. Thank you, I’ll be here all night!)

So when did this stuff get turned off?

[sym]Does this work?[/sym]
[font face=“symbol”]Does this work?[/font]

Did they turn it off? Does it expire?

[symbol]W[/symbol]

It looks like you have to type out “symbol” instead of just “sym” now.

[sym]Zappa[/sym]

[symbol]Zappa[/symbol]

[symbol]ABCDEF[/symbol] = [symbol]ABCDEF[/symbol]
[fon
t=“symbol”]ABCDEF[/font] = ABCDEF

The [Sym] tag changed to [symbol] when the board software was last upgraded.

[symbol]Mellie rules.[/symbol]

Cool!

Could we maybe have [sym][/sym] reactivated, so that this thread makes sense?

does this work?

[symbol]does this work?[/symbol]

[sym]does this work?[/sym]

[symbol]Ah… Now it all makes sense. I was wondering if I didn’t have the font set or something and I have over 2000 fonts on my computer. [/symbol]

[symbol]I guess you’re right[/symbol]
