Syrupy Nostalgia: What TV shows do you miss?

Alex Rocco (who was Moe Greene in The Godfather) won an Emmy for playing Al Floss.

VR5. Yeah!

“So this is what you do when everyone else is playing Myst?”

The Greatest American Hero

The Bugaloos

**The A-Team

Hill Street Blues

St. Elsewhere

Star Trek: TNG** and **Deep Space Nine

Babylon 5** (except for the last season)

**Doctor Who

Ooh, Brimstone, I forgot about that one!

Early Edition too.

Eerie, Indiana is out on DVD.

popular
freeks and geeks

flipper
three’s company
alice
boosum buddies

Wings
Twin Peaks
Twilight Zone
Married, with children, but before Al Bundy turned like 90 (just look at him on the later seasons!)
Saturday Night Live (when it was funny)
The Facts of Life (so sue me, but the song takes up room in my head for some reason)

I agree about the Misfits of Science, I also liked it and I still have one episode on Beta somewhere (not that I can watch it anymore, but it’s still there)

Newheart
Wellcome Back Kotter (Barbarino rules!, the Fonz sucks!!) (I need to take cover now…)

Oh, and a very short lived sit-com about a korean-american girl with an extremely funny grandmother (I remember there was something about her watching porn entitled Free My Willy)

Three’s Company (remember the one with the misunderstanding? Yeah, cheesy, but I loved it)
Wings
Cheers
Family Ties
The Wonder Years
And for the kid in me:
Aaaah! Real Monsters and Angry Beavers (I rarely see these 2 on Nickelodeon any longer, and they were 2 of my favorites.)
The Bugs Bunny / Road Runner Show that was on Saturday mornings. (Road runner, the coyote’s after you, Road Runner, if he catches you, you’re through!)

Bosom Buddies
21 Jump Street
Degrassi Jr. High
The Diary of Adrian Mole

Another one who misses Mystery Science Theater 3000. Specifically, I miss Joel. I wish someone would air re-runs of the old shows.

Also Deep Space Nine and Babylon 5. I miss the messianic captains with goatees, the kick-butt second-in-commands, the gruff but lovable security officers, the cute, annoying British guys, not to mention the many fine character actors with tons of latex gunk on their faces. I wasn’t terribly happy with the final season of either show, but I’m sad they’re gone.

I have to chime in here to second Homefront. I loved that show. The second I saw this thread I thought about it. TVLAND showed the whole series maybe a year ago and I got to watch them all in order again. I know that the series really lost it’s kick towards the end but I still miss it.

Just thought of one more, Evening Shade. I think it was prett popular when it was cancelled too. Anybody know the story on that one?
