Taaa daa! Here's yer spankin' new MMP!

paaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnn:(:(:(:(:(:(:frowning:

Man, I did a number on my hip. Sitting at work for 8 hours today made it even worse. I did go to the gym but I only did 15 minutes light swimming and 15 minutes in the hot tub. Definitely need to take it easy until my hip forgives me for stretching it too much.

Please excuse me while I go cry as I look for my second crutch.

Well irk was particularly irksome today. Spent all of yesterday at jury duty so today was really my Monday. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGG!!!

Will the lady bitten by the rabid skunk? have to get shots? How does that work? Used to be very painful I think.

Feel better soonPicu!!

Do gloves have numbered sizes? Don’t often wear gloves in the subtropics.

 Tugig congrats!! It is a big deal. Feel better soon Congo!!

Paid my speeding ticket. set me back $138.00 plus cost of traffic school if I want to avoid points. My first ever speeding ticket or ticket of any kind except parking. AAAAARRRRRGGGGG!!!

I think I have to go see my quack tomorrow. Where I pulled the little bastige off my right shin is a large red welt. Is it Lyme disease, or an allergic reaction to tick spit? It’ll be up to him to decide.

BBBobbio - if you’re going to get tested for Lyme, get tested for the other tick diseases too. They are just as nasty. Oh, and remember that not all Lyme victims get the typical bullseye rash.

irked, went out for martinis, got driven home.

{{{{shortdrum}}}}

Congrats, tugig!
Made chicken in a garlic-lime sauce for dindin. Not only will I not meet my demise at the hands of a vampire tonight, but pretty sure the whole *street *is safe!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69 <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92. Not that a day of nice weather matters cause I’ll be inside up to my hind quarters in paperirk. On the plus side I’ll be the only one back in our little corner of the Career Center so except for the phone it’ll be quiet.

Spidey good for you for keepin’ the neighborhood safe from vampires. This is why there is no such thing as too much garlic.

doggio was it a one martini, two martini, three martini, floor night? :stuck_out_tongue:

BBBobbio appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed for no nasty tick ailments. ICK!

Oh and MOOOOOOM I have some leftover Sonny’s bbq for N.O.L.. Thought you’d like to know.

Now I need me some more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Le Sigh.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Just 2 martinis.

Off to irk now, laundry afterwards.

Good morning! Bracing for a hot hot hot day. I’ve already closed up the house and set the thermostat - it was 78° inside when I got up and I don’t what it climbing higher - it’ll just make it more difficult to cool it later. So for now, it’s set for 77°, and once I quit working outside, I’ll adjust for inside living as I feel is necessary. Shortly, I will spray myself down with insect repellent, don some yard-work grubbies, and get all my new plants into the ground and make sure they’re all well-watered. I’m hoping 2 hours max. The rest of the day will be indoor chores.

Summer sucks.

I’ve also got to remember to call the marina about when our boat needs to be in place for its haulout. Then I need to call my daughter and make sure she can help me move the boat. I don’t know if I’m able to do it all myself. I have no problem operating the boat. My issue is backing out of our slip without crashing into other boats or piers and mooring in the lift slip without crashing. No pressure… As long as it’s not windy, I’m not too worried.

Other potential excitement for my day: Empty the dishwasher. Vacuum. Tidy. Feed myself. Take the trash out. Good times… Stoopit heat. I may do some laundry - as hot as it’s supposed to get, it’ll dry fast for sure. Maybe I’ll strip the bed.

Meanwhile, I need to finish my yogurt and get started before the heat finishes me. Happy Wednesday. Summer sucks. :stuck_out_tongue:

Blurf, with additional :grumble:

Waiting for the quack’s office to open so I can call to get fit in.

Brace yourselves, everyone. It’s going to be a loooooooooooooong day.
Happy First Day of Summer/Midsummer.

Is not, St John’s is this Sunday. stands by a pile of stuff to BURRRRRN! on the Eve

Roocy, you got some splaining to do.

I am up and almost running. I should get my work laptop back today so I get to try to cram 4 work days into today. I was supposed to be travelling this week but that is cancelled - there is no way I am travelling to Little Rock from here tomorrow as I won’t get there til 11 when the meeting starts at 9. Super

Other than that it is the start of a heat wave here going to be close to 100!

BBBobbio perhaps this Wiki on Midsummer’s Day will help explain what Nava alluded to in her post. I like the idea of burnin’ stuff.

F’rinstance, I’d like to burn this pile of paperirk on my desk.

Yeah. I’m completely familiar with the idea of a Midsummer/solstice bonfire, but never never heard of it in relation to St. John/San Juan. Must be my inner pagan winning out.

Congrats 2gig! It’s a major award! Did you get a leg lamp? Really, a win like that is seriously cool.

Appendages crossed for BBBobbio. Hope you get the new gig.

Today is supposedly the last day of 95 degress temps. But Jerry Taft often lies.

Gardening done, and in a little under 2 hours. I’m all showered and I’ve got the sprinkler going. I’ve decided to put the laundry off till tomorrow, but I will tidy in here today. It’s just shy of 80 out there, and already, it’s feeling oppressive. Stoopit summer.

Ya know, sometimes it’s good that the sky doesn’t have curtains as that’s the only thing that dragged my tahrid butt up this morning. With a high of 97° + hoomidity in the 40+% range making for a heat index in the threeple digits, there will be no ridin tonite as either I &/or the tyres might melt.

That & the HVAC was changed from “off” to “cool”; so much for small utility bill

At about dinnertime, my iPad bubled with an alert from a local weather app that yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far. Not sure how that warranted an alert, but yes, it’s not nice outside.
