I’m up, drinking coffee and shall soon head to the shower. The plan is for me to drop my husband off at the hospital to see MiL and for me to continue down the road to my specialty center for the mammo and then for me to return to hospital.
I am tired. Hubby is not talkative at all and I understand that, but damn, I’m hurting too.
I’ve got a nasty headache coming on, but I know it’s just stress.
The weather is gray and wet.
I really hope things get back to “normal” soon. Between this and work, I’m about ready to snap.

Hot and dry in Albuquerque - we’re into summer now, I guess. 20% chance of showers this afternoon - we’ll be lucky to see a tenth of an inch! :eek: Relative humidity is at 40%, so that’s why everyone is thinking we -might- get some rain. LOL Oh well, dry is still better than humid, IMNSHO.

I irked today - it was lovely and quiet and very productive. I wish I could trade Monday for Saturday. Then I’d have a weekday for car and doctor things
In from the pool and all cleanded up. In a while we shall gussie up for the soiree. I have an eight year old in a 57 year old man’s body I keep tellin’, “Yes, you must wear a suit and tie tonight. This is a real grown up party.” I mean, it’s even at an art museum.
Oh and we had sammiches a little bit ago cause it’s still at least two hours to any semblance of dindin time and hunger pains were there.

Afternoon…first day of the triple digits here and oh yeah it is hot! I need a pool to lounge in.
Worked out got coffee cleaned the kitchen went to Lowes Target and the grocery store did laundry spent some quality married time and we are headed out for dinner in about an hour. All round a busy day. Tomorrow will do nothing much day.

For the record, I’m too old for this crap!! I’m talking manual labor in the sun all freekin’ day long!! I started by finishing the boat-scrubbin’ while **FCD **futzed with some electrical and propane system chores. We got some Nufinish car polish and I shined up one side of the hull before my arms just flat gave out. Then we hopped into the marina pool for a sorta-cool-down (the water was pretty warm.) After that, **FCD **masked the stripes that I’ll be painting on the port side while I gathered up all our tools and stuff. We got out of there a little before 4.
After coming home and getting cleaned up, we went out for sushi. That stuff is $$$ but it sure was good. Now we’re in semi-veg mode. I’ve got a load of whites in the washer, since our supply of unders was getting pretty low. **FCD **is futzing in his workshop. Once I’ve read my comics and Dear Abby, I’m going to assume thefingerless-glove-making position for the evening. Speaking of which - I just created my own pattern! I used a popcorn stitch - I’ve made lumpy fingerless gloves!!
Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty hot, so I suggested we get to the marina early and get the last of the waxing and all of the trim painting done before noon. Then we can veg the afternoon away. I hope. We shall see.

Home from the soiree with the 8/57 year old who pointed out that there were men there sans coat and tie. I pointed out that there were exactly three men there sans coat and tie and they felt underdressed. So There!
It was a nice evenin’. I had three very stiff gin and tonics, i.e. GIN and the bottle of tonic water was waved over it. The food was good. There were some hyuuuuuuuuuuuuuge shrimps and sweet N.O.T. bizkits with ham amongst lots of other things. Good eats!
The 8/ 57 year old is now crashed and I shall be so too shortly. I’s tahrd. Plus it’s attemptin’ to rain, so yay, maybe it will rain overnight.
I just realized my previous post lacks some serious punctuation. I was on my phone and just failed to hit the right buttons. I am smarter than that I promise.
I have a plastic colander. I use it essentially for two reasons. To drain pasta when I make some. And to hold candy to give out to trick-or-treaters on Halloween. The rest of the time it sits up on a shelf.
I bought some ravioli and I was cooking it up this evening.
The discovery is that I apparently haven’t cooked any pasta since last October.
The question is whether M&M’s are still good after eight months.
It’s been my birthday for one minute! I’m an O.F. of 66. I feel much younger. We’re going to the horse races tomorrow (today), I’m very excited!
I’d better go to bed now. 'Nite.

As for here, the heat wave broke so the winders are oped again. However 63° is too Brrrrr for outside sleepin’
Local Park & Rec dept does a movie in the park about once a month in the summer; last night they also gave glow stiks to da kiddies. There’s a group sitting next to us with young rugrats. The little girl puts said glow stik horizontally just below her nose; little boy (about 3) says, “You have a big moustache, just like my Mom-Mom.” Ya know how hard it is to not laugh out loud???
I love Sundays I really do. LibbyCat came and trampled all over us at 6.30 so she could get soft food. Mr ems got up to feed her and had his coffee and let me sleep a bit longer. I woke up to the smell of bacon cooking and a very gentle " good morning honey breakfast is almost ready and I ran to Starbucks and got you a latte" holy cow is he a super husband! We ate outside on the patio as it was a perfect 75 and sunny with a light breeze. : happy sigh :
There will be filter changing and back yard mowing the morning and that is the sum total of our plans today. I am still in my jammies and plan to stay that way for a while.
