Well gang, it’s time for the second annual SDMB outing to the Staten Island Yankees.
We’ll be seeing the Thursday, August 21 game against the Hudson Valley Renegades. Game time is 7:15 p.m., and a group of us will be meeting at the lower Manhattan ferry terminal at 6:15 to take the Staten Island Ferry across. People can also meet at the stadium, which is next to the ferry terminal in Staten Island at 7:00.
Ferrys back to Manhattan run every half hour. The ticket price is $8, but I think that like last year I can get a deal from a buddy of mine in team management.
This is a great family activity, with reasonable concession prices (at least for New York and compared to the major arenas). There is also a Kosher concession cart, and evening Minyan after the sixth inning.
