Good morning everyone. It’s half a day and tomorrow off in this particular Salt Mine!
Happy Easter to all of those who celebrate it.
And Hag Sameach to everybody else… (lessee, last count: Ivory, Rosie and CP, I think? Anybody I missed?)
Bunny!
{{{}}} to everyone who needs them, there’s too many, I’ve lost count
Bobbio – that shirt is hilarious!!!; I wish I had seen something like that when my own tykes were the right (wrong) age
**Spaz **-- it’s a bird! It’s a plane!! No, it’s SuperSkwerl!!! (Should have used this soundtrack…)
Good morning! All critters have been tended to in FairyChatEstates. We brought the frog/lizard tank upstairs last night in the hope of keeping it warmer. Taz and Ziva are fascinated - especially by the cricket cages. I’m going crazy trying to keep their feline butts off my counter. Daughter gets home sometime after midnight - yay!
**FCD **is still crashed - no idea how late he stayed up. We watched an episode of Dexter, then The Amazing Johnathan, then I crashed in bed to watch Cats 101 for awhile, but I was asleep well before 11. So I’ll let him sleep.
I’m going to celebrate Easter with the traditional “cleaning of the dining room carpet” - Cozmo peed in there twice last night. So after my sweetie gets up, I’ll get him to help me move the table out, then I’ll vacuum and shampoo the carpet. At least it’s a small room - only 10X12, so it won’t take long. Stoopit dog. And it’s going to be warm today, so I can leave the house open to aid drying.
hello everyone! sorry for the absence! Hope everyone has a kickin Easter. I can’t wait to get discounted chocolate.
Today Judah and I made some chocolately goodies with the chocolate melter thinger jigger I got for my birthday over a year ago. He had fun. I found a way to make matza edible.
I was going to start my quilt design but we spent so long on our project + cleaning the house and going through the motions that I was just dead tired. I would like to do something that’s a picture, though, maybe tree of life ish? Ideas?
My ex called last night - actually, a snap after I went to bed - and I did a wtfomg thing. He’s not dead, so that’s always good to know. But if things had gone as planned I’d be married right now. He left a message and didn’t try again today. Could’ve been a drunk thing, but if there’s anything that makes me a softie, it’s Wills.
Speaking of f’d exes, I got an unfortunate email from Jude’s dad. I’ll probably share it later on here, but I hope the vultures are fairly nice. I am rather at a loss with this situation.
On top of ALL that, my dad is refusing radiation treatments because he thinks they’ll kill him  so he’s going to do “alternative” therapy. I said if he had a death sentence, make sure I’m in his will. He already had his prostate removed, so at least it’s not something like…leukemia.
He had this issue 7-8 years ago and told me he had it removed. He lied - he just didn’t want me to yell at him for not doing it. He didn’t want to emasculate himself or something. Well, that bit him in the $$$$, cause guess who ended up in the hospital again? You know, having his prostate removed? :smack:
Sometimes I feel I am the only voice of reason left.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN Tis 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and hyooooooomid! That sounds like Easter weather to me!
Speakin’ of which…
**
HAPPY EASTER!!!

Aches (I’m tryin’ that out as a nickname) Hope things turn out alright with your dad. I’ll keep him and you in my thoughts and prayers. Also, that other issue, whatever it may be, I hope it turns out ok.
gt the Easter Vigil I went to was only two hours long. We musta missed sump’n.
OK, I need more caffiene and some brekkie. Easter N.O.L. is on track. Go Me!
Rosie, not only did I send that shot of the sign from BJ’s to FailBlog, I sent another one I haven’t posted to People of WalMart. If they make that one public, I’ll link back here with it.
swampy: Do they start yours with readings from most of the Old Testament? That was the first hour or so. (It’s actually short readings with songs in between, for those of you falling over in shock; the readers are really good and the songs tie things together nicely.)
Ah…soooo…the ceremonial Washing of the Sheets in addition to the Cleaning of the Dining Room Carpet, FCM. Lovely rituals you have there at FairyChatEstates.
I think my nephew is up already. And probably expecting the Revelation of the Chocolate.
Sorry about your Dad, CP.
Guess I should go find out what Easter miracles await chez GT.
Happy Easter, Hag Sameach, Happy Sunday (take all that apply).
My Dad loved the TV! He says the picture is so clear, and the sound on his new headphones is loud and clear and static-free. Yay!
Sitting here drinking coffee and waking up. I’m excited to be heading out to Austin today. Doing something different is always fun! And it will be all romantical and stuff…
I didn’t sleep well last night either. I also woke up at 3:30 this morning doing this: :smack: I was thinking it was Monday and I was pissed at myself for not taking the meat out of the freezer for the pot roast. So, I got up, took meat out of the freezer and went back to bed. When I woke up again at 4:30, I realized that TOMORROW is Monday. I left the meat out anyway. In a bit, I’ll stick it in the fridge (it’s still frozen so there’s no harm); and go about my day.
Yesterday was a bust as far as any productivity on my part. I didn’t do much of anything other than clean the kitchen, do some laundry, and cook dinner. I now have to clean the kitchen, run the vacuum and finish tidying up at least the downstairs.
We have to be over at MiL’s around 2:00, and my daughter, her sweetie, her sweetie’s mother and their friend are coming down here to ride with us to my MiL’s place.
I’m not sure what time they’ll be here, but I’ll have to get a move on and finish up my chores fairly shortly here.
Up, coffee as we speak, ate brekkie (oatmeal and fresh blueberries when I really want eggs and hashbrowns…) fed LibbyCat who let me sleep until 7AM before the pathetic ‘I am soooooo hungry’ mewing started, stripped and washed the sheets from our bed and I am about to head off and clean the kitchen and bathrooms.
Well, the new FairyChatTraditions of carpet cleaning and bed linen laundry have been augmented with frog poo scooping. Happy Easter!
The house is wide open and it’s quite warm. I worked up a bit of a sweat as I pushed the carpet cleaner back and forth. But it’s 72 in the house, so too cool to close up and turn on the a/c. If it gets closer to 78, then I’ll close up. And only for **FCD **- I don’t mind the heat that much if I’m just sitting around.
My car is clean, too, as **FCD **started his own tradition of washing our cars. I need to wipe all the pollen out of the inside, but that won’t take long. He’s heading over to a friend’s shortly to buy some corals. I don’t know if I’ll ride along or not. Maybe I will.
Last annoying chore remaining is to flip the mattress - may as well, since I had to strip the bed anyway…
