Since the OP mentioned the doubter is Asian, there’s Chow Yun-Fat who is listed on IMDb as being 6’1", on that CelebHeights site* as 6’0.5" (talk about precise!). I can confirm either of those as I’ve stood within a few people of him at a film opening.
*Pet peeve: They alphabetized him under “Y” rather than “C.” Chow is his family name, Yun-Fat is his personal name.

Wow, I didn’t remember Harry Anderson being that tall. I could have sworn he had to strain to look up at Bull.
I never really noticed that he was that tall until I saw him in a movie with Owen Wilson (Life Aquatic, I think?), who I always thought looked tall and lanky. Murray had a good couple of inches on Wilson.

In any case, I took a nice long list to my roommate and he had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently he completely forgot the discussion which started this thread off, so the list was moot.

ISTR him being about the same height as Harry (and Dan, apparently…didn’t realise they were the same height).
Marsha Warfield (Ros) is 5’11" - rather tall, for a woman. Markie Post is only 5’6", which is a bit taller than average - but surprisingly short relative to the rest of the regular cast. I can’t find how tall Selma Diamond or Florence Hallop (who played the ballifs before Ros) were, but given how massive the rest of the cast is, I suddenly suspect they’re not as short as they always seemed.

Of the SW leading men: Hayden Christensen is 6’2", Liam Neeson is the tallest at 6’4", Harrison Ford is 6’1", and James Earl Jones is 6’1 1/2". Mark Hamill is the shortest at 5’9", just beating out Ewan McGregor (5’10").
Jim Carroll is 6’3" or 6’4", or roughly a foot taller than Leonardo DiCaprio.
If he is then I’m taller then 6’2". I would put him around 5’10" give or take.
I met Peter Buck (of REM) a while back, and I was surprised at how tall he was (6’2", per IMDB). I don’t know why that surprised me, but it did.
Of course, I’m 5’5", so everybody is tall to me.
