Okay, so I’m hoping to get together with youze guys sometime in the three days of Monday-Wednesday the 25th-27th of this month. Michi (Cyndar) works on the weekends, and I’ll have family in town and then I go out of town, so those three days are the only ones that will work for me until sometime early July. Anyone interested in getting together for lunch or (relatively early) dinner? Time span for me would probably be anywhere from 1-9PM, since it’s about 2 hours away from here and I gotta drive home alone.
Wish I could, but week days don’t work for me, since I work Mon-Fri, and live an hour away anyhoo. Would have been a great way to celebrate my birthday…
Michi says Monday is best and Wednesday second best, and she’ll be working Tuesday. Anyone else up for lunch Monday or Wednesday, besides katiekilldare (looking forward to meeting you!)?
Well Sani, even if it is just the two of us, we’ll have a good time. Maybe if it’s just us we could do a movie too, for something different. And I’m gonna bring my Hawaii pictures too!

Okay, we’ll be eating Monday, June 25th, at Copeland’s in the AMC Veteran’s Movie Theater. MapQuest shows it on Anderson Road in Tampa, off of exit 6B on the Veteran’s Expressway, assuming you’re going northbound. So directions:
From 275:
Take Veteran’s Expressway north to exit 6B and then turn right, and it’ll be on the right.
From Central/North Tampa:
Take Waters Ave. West to Anderson Road. Turn right on Anderson and AMC/Copeland’s will be on the left about 3 blocks down.
From St. Petersburg:
Take either the Courtney Campbell Causeway or 275 to Veteran’s Expressway and go north to 6B.
Any other directions needed?

As I understand it, the restaurant is in the same shopping center and plaza as the theater. Michi said it wouldn’t be hard to find once you find the theatre.
How’s about 5:30 as a meeting time?
And for those of you complaining about a 20 or 30 minute drive, remember - I’m the one driving 2 1/2 hours to see y’all!
Let’s see here… only two days late. Damn. All the better though, since I would not have been able to make it. But you guys could all have come up to the Gun Range to visit me and shoot some machine guns and stuff. I am so busy lately… I really dont have time for much. I visit the boards a lot less now and usually stay in just GQ. The boards are so damn slow…
Anyway, I notice there are several more Florida dopers. How many people made it to the dinner?

Don’t feel bad about missing the dinner, Bear. It ended up being only Sani and me. But we had good food and good conversation, and that was all that mattered.
So, let me just tell you that my mother is evil and she demanded my presence in Bradenton. Let’s certainly plan something else soon - especially since I’ve just discovered that Cyndar lives about a BLOCK away.
