The site still won’t let me in. I know I am using the correct user name and password, I saved the confirmation email from when I signed up. I sent an email to support@marketplayer.com, but no reply yet. This is frustrating, I know I’d be kickin’ all yo asses by now if I could sign in!
Your name and password need to be the correct case. I think I had problems when I didn’t capitalize my name correctly once.
D’oh!! Why the hell didn’t I think of that? Problem solved. I use this name at other places, sometimes with a lower case b…OK, back to playing tomorrow, thanks SouprChckn.

Boy oh boy, we sure keep it interesting!
Let’s see: thinksnow increases his portfolio value by over 25% in a single day the same day that Chris (the yo-yo) plummets almost 20%!
I think SaintZero is trying the cynical “Let’s not do anything and see if I can win on interest” approach. Not a bad idea. I, on the other hand, am relying on one (maybe two) safe plays to keep me in the top half of the pack, and I think Boscibo is using the same strategy.
Either that, or he hasn’t traded because he can’t log in.
Either way, with 22 days left, we’ve got lots of bouncing around to do!
Jeez - thinksnow -
You’d think a guy could take a hint. Might’ve been a good time to lock in those profits yesterday, huh?
Oh well, 40% is not as much as 60%, but it still smokes the rest of us.
And, just to reassure you, my last few decisions haven’t been that f-in’ good either. Not down 27% like some people, [sub]CNote[/sub], but this morning’s news wasn’t good.
Good to see you back in, Boscibo. Thought maybe you were resting on your laurels.
The first down day of trading after several good ones can be disappointing - I can understand you wanting to sit today out!
BTW, sd, you need to get your eyes checked…Our own Boscibo is all woman.
Have fun, make money, and have fun!
Paul
The questions is, do I walk away now, or should I be greedy and go for the big bucks?
BE GREEDY! BE GREEDY!
BIG MONEY! BIG MONEY! NO WHAMMIES!
[sub]I’ve found this to be a good strategy, especially for me when adopted by others.[/sub]
See, were this Press Your Luck, I might think long and hard about that philosophy. 'Course, I wouldn’t have shorted SIERRA HEALTH, either.
Plenty o’time left in this little competition.
Whoa! I actually made up some lost ground today. 'Course I still have to look up to see down.
Had me rolling on the floor with that one, pantom! Looks like the shorts are finally paying off, huh?
The street’s going to be awash in red today…April’s unemployment numbers were frightening.
I don’t understand this…tech companies are lauded for implementing cost-cutting strategies, especially announcing layoffs, and their stock goes up. But when we find out that, big surprise, unemployment spikes to a two-year high, Wall St. takes it as a dismal sign of impending doom. What did they think was gonna happen?!?
BTW - thinksnow, TOUCHE!
[sub]But in all seriousness, dude, I think you should take the money and run, if it’s not too late…and I think it’s too late. Then again, there still IS plenty of time left![/sub]
thinksnow is up 3%, and I’m down for the second day straight.
If anyone wants me, I’ll be over there chewin’ on this bird.
[sub]Hmmm, maybe a slice of humble pie for dessert.[/sub]
Paul, you were so right, I should have sold. I’ve lost about $40,000 since the 2nd.
<sigh>
Well, hopefully I’ll manage to go on, meager though my standing must be, what with that massive loss.
[sub](suddenly remembering CNoteChris’ attitude and final outcome from last competition)[/sub]
Uh, what I meant was, thanks for the input. Your insight was uncanny and I’d have done well to have investigated your proposition. I shall take a more learned approach in the following days.

With 11 trading days left, it’s beginning to look like a repeat is likely. PaulTheYounger seems to be the genuine article… someone who really knows what he is doing.
Which of course begs the question: If so, what the hell is he doing playing a game with idiots like us?!?
Maybe we’ll never know.
Our other previous winners hold the last and second-to-last spots… not too impressive, unless they’re both planning dramatic, last-minute, come-from-behind victories? We’ll have to wait and see.
As for me? I made one good play, made just over 1%, and have sat on my interest since then. And notice that I have never dropped below the fourth spot? This speaks volumes about how smart we all are (except for Paul for only pretending to trade stocks.
I’ll have you know that, as of tonight, I’m actually slightly over even.
So there!
I would like to note, once again, that it is still early, but damn, I shouldn’t have been greedy. I should have rested on my laurels and cut out with the 68%, huh?
The curse of Cnote holds.
Well, you’ve hit upon my master plan…convince seven strangers that I’m good at this stock market thingee, and then convince them to entrust OBSCENELY LARGE amounts of money to my care, for a quick 22% turnaround.
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! Little do they know that the only thing that’ll be moving quick is me heading for Barbados!!
[sub]Oops, did I say that out loud?!?[/sub]
A crafty move, SD, making me reveal my evil plot. And I’d have gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for you meddlin’ kids!
Last I looked I was in second place, and I have no idea how that could be! I have been losing steadily every day, not really trading because I want to make money on the two duds I bought.
