It’s their country, their borders, and their laws. Considering the list consisted of such people as Phelps and Savage, I really really can’t say the British did a bad thing here. They just don’t want our assholes in their country.

It’s very signifigant. I’d like to travel there, someday, and I’d be very disappointed if I wasn’t allowed to do so. But Savage’s worldview seems to be that American border policy should be decided exclusively by Americans for the benefit of Americans. If that’s the case, he has no standing to complain about, or be offended by, Britain’s border policy at it applies to him.

And they should’ve known that would occur. Now they have to deal with it in court. They could’ve focused on actual bad people rather than trying to legislate political taste.

It would be interesting if those offering their opinions on Michael’s show (like above) would also include whether or not they have listened and if so, how often (or if they are just offering someone else’s opinion).
To be honest I kinda like Savage. I also kinda like Lionel… I think thats how you spell it… And he’s a lefty. Also, lest we forget, Savage has sued to have the “right-wing radicals” list released to the public (and yes, I know about the same report being applied to leftists during bush, but be honest, whos more likely to blow something up?). He isn’t suing for himself. He is suing for everyone both of those policies could hurt.
My dad works from his truck and listens to Savage all day. We don’t talk about politics, medicine, or science much.
I had no idea that Savage was against foreign tourists entering the US.
How long someone plans to be in a country is beside the point. Isn’t it a fundamental assumption of his arguments that a sovreign nation has absolute authority over who it allows to enter, either for one hour or the rest of their lives? Savage wants the U.S. to exercise that authority in ways that he sees fit, but takes offense when Britain exercises it in the way that they see fit.

No, it really isn’t. I ssume that when Savage talks about who “enters”, he’s talking about people planning to set up permanent residence.
I have no idea what his specific stance is on the subject, but I don’t see anything strange about the claim that each country has the ability to dictate who enters and who doesn’t. That’s pretty much a no-brainer. The controversy is in how and why each country chooses to do so.
I listen to Savage during my afternoon drive time and usually catch the 1st hour of his program.
Does he rant & yell - occasioanlly yes
Is he a racist - absolutely not
Is he a republican - no, neither is he a democrat. He purposefully says away from aligning himself with either, so he can take shots at either as he sees fit.
Does he take a lot of shots at Obama and his administration - yes
Did he take a lot of shots at GW Bush and his administration - yes (especially in the last two years)
Believes in a strong military - yes
He is also a supporter of legal immigration.
He has no love for Islamic extremist.
Is Jewish, but doesn’t hold Judaism above other religions
Takes great pride in his independence and ability to speak his mind without having to answer to “Corporate”
Takes great pleasure in roasting many of the other “conservative” talk show hosts.
While the guy does go off on what he considers to be wrong with the world/country, there is much to like in his program as well. If being politically correct is your cup of tea, then Michael is probably is not the show for you.
All that said, does he belong in a grouping with murderers and terrorist - no.
Does he hate gays? - yes
Has he made fun of disabled children? - yes
Is he a loudmouth neanderthal social conservative? - yes
