Someone capable of committing - but not necessarily ‘love for love’s sake’.

I have often said that I want someone who wants me, not someone who needs me.

Thank you! I was trying to figure out whether to stay with my current job(s) or give my 2 week notice and find one full-time job.

My main part-time job went through a major restructuring this week - 15 key people were let go. The morning of the first wave of layoffs - I sent resumes in for 2 positions I had seen online. Within 2 hours - my department had been eliminated and my boss had been let go.

I got to keep my pt job - but was going to be assigned a “floater” - because I kept reading those detailed monster.com emails, I had a call for 2 interviews the same day and was offered a new job this morning.

I start full time with benefits on Monday

Earlier I promised to try and update this thread if/when things happened for me.

Alas, I did not meet that someone special in 08. OK, I will grant that there is a *slight *chance that *technically *the prediction may come true. I *did *meet a moderately attractive single mother at a partly last night - but she showed mostly polite interest in me and nothing more - *and *she is planning on moving next September (either to Ohio or New Zealand.)

So I fear that yet another year passed and I am still loveless.

If you were to do so, I’d be in.

The event was small and too intimate for me to put myself out there and possibly be rejected in front of everyone. We’re talking only 8 people and she and I were never alone together. We were the only two singles and I wonder if there was some match-making going on.

Anyway, to answer your question, no we didn’t exchange emails or anything. She works with a former coworker, I’ll wait and see if there is any interest.
