Fingers crossed!
Ugh, linky no worky!
This photohosting site seems to only allow sharing to other specific chosen sites, like Facebook, Pinterest, etc.
Bummer.
Guess I’ll keep looking for a new photo hosting site I can work!
Is this supposed to point to lensdump instead of lenspdump? Changing the link to lensdump brings up a page with triangular shells and an european-looking coin.
Same here. Taking the p out of the URL seems to work.
You know… for over a decade I have paid just over $100 a year to maintain a domain: that includes space for just pictures I wanted to share anywhere for as many hits as could happen, I could have written more of my crappy poetry or short stories and shared each all over the web in .gif form or url, and an almost infinite amount of email addresses (I am sure there is a finite amount but if I don’t set up the account name they all just go to my Trash account which I clean out every other day).
I pay that yearly fee so I have continuity, most of the images are backed up on facebook but I like being able to snag an url to share now and then and well, my family really like having their own email box where the only time I bitch is when they don’t clean out their email boxes (it makes it hard to load that box).
I’m on my 3rd host… as people (ok, guys) retire/die… and my ramblings and saved mail from more than a decade ago are still available.
I count that as just as valuable as having free (but I do donate to) adblockers, easy cache cleaners or antivirus tools on my pc (and other web enabled devices).
While enjoying the fact that to this day I still get hits (not just bots) on my pokemon stuff, on a friend who needed hosting space’s stuff (Sims 1 hacked stuff) and… when people look through all my old posts just to see if I am lying. (Never had the last actually happen because I am not that interesting).
My now host? How much do they charge? Not much more than the host they bought that I was with… but you won’t get all the perks of the grandfathered accounts. Back when they had a forum… I did not see anything from them that would had made me delete my account (original had an Adult section).
Who? well https://members.zboxhosting.com/index.php
Then again 1,000 people here looking at 1 picture won’t put me over my bandwidth allocations (because I usually optimize my pix and… i don’t think I would get 1,000 hit in a day let alone a year from one picture).
Picture test (and I may even check on my cpanel to see if it was a spider/bot looking at this): the church I was baptized in (might be christened but… I am agnostic and don’t really care which) http://mistymage.com/Family/homestuff/sugarcreekchurch.jpg
Or I could post a somewhat recent pic of me from Facebook which is where I also store pictures/thoughts and via some convoluted National Treasure ways… some important stuff.
Aww, heck, since I have joined the FB group: Redirecting... and my Profile is set to Public so feel free to poke around and look at my kids, pets hubby and me
Plus I have all the images/text from both places stored on flash drives.
Find a host… or two … store your stuff online, in the cloud and on a flash drive … and (I need to do this myself) print out those scanned/captured pictures, I’m too cheap to get more ink when the ink pods will cost more than buying the printer… not including buying photo paper.
But it’s nice to look at hard copies, too.
A suggestion: set up a gmail account and use Drive. It gives you several gig of storage, access to Google’s version of MS Office, and plenty of storage space for your photos, music files, videos, documents, spreadsheets, ebooks, and so on. You can construct your own websites and wikis. You can share content with your friends and give them access to files you select. If you have an Android phone, it syncs your files and gives you access from your mobile. All for free. No ads, no fees.
Here are some storm troopers I took a pic of with my Android. The pic went to the Google Photos folder in my Drive, and I copied the link with my laptop.
