I think I know how to do this, create a link to another post, but we’ll see.

Damn, would you look at that?
I’d like to thank the academy…
How 'bout this,
[
](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=7134176&postcount=34)Quote box = link!
No showing off now!
Though my example was a small one my intention is otherwise, .
I always appreciate tips, though, I’m a bit of a hapless stumbler.
But I already knew how to do that, what else you got?
I’m still learning myself, so it’s mostly remembering the cool stuff I see.
This is fun {invisible post ink} {[COLOR = f8f8f8]invisible post ink[/ COLOR]}
Which is almost completely useless, unless you get the,
“The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 2 characters.” message.
Then instead of putting “…” in my post I put this,
{2HopefullyInvisibleCharacters}
It’s really like the “Quote box=Link” trick, it just makes the post look better.
Also lets ya add fnord to your posts fnord.
The really cool thing I got is only good if your using Firefox, these two extensions BBCode and BBCodeXtra,
They add items to the context menu so you can insert vBCode/Html/XHtml code with out having to go to the advanced “Reply to Thread” screen. So if I cut text from a cite I can paste it directly into a quote box with just a right click.
If you’ve got FF this is a must have SpellBound, spell checker for Firefox.
CMC fnord
just a tilde title test… (say that 3 times fast)
k - I’m done now.
