Anyways thanks for all the the birthday wishes! I had a good day all round and an excellent drunken meal with my family. Although I am still denying all knowledge of being 33.

VWife’s blood is hypercoagulative, so she’s doing Lovenox shots. I’m supposed to stay home all weekend in case of emergency. Not much of a sacrifice, really, because I lack the $$$ to buy anything more than a tub of sacrificial worms for Sunday services. If the rain stays away long enough, I may finish tearing down the pumphouse. Yee and haw.
Happy Day of the Book (Spain) or St George’s With No Reading (England).
Why do I find it so irritating that in every thread about bras, there have to be 2-3 posters who insist that those of us who do not wear underwires are “just looking in the wrong size”? And why do they do it? Is it part of the same impulse that makes the freshly-engaged want to play matchmaker, “it works for me therefore it works for you”? Pain in the… boobs…
I’m up for the second time today. I’m going to finish my coffee, clean up, and head out for a pedicure and then to the mall.
Frankly, I didn’t want to buy new clothes until I’d dropped the weight I’d put on, but I need some clothes, and well, maybe this will spur to work even harder at losing the weight. Hubby wants a new pair of jeans too, so I promised I’d pick up a pair for him.
I don’t have much else going. I’m not at work and that’s a good thing.
Home from work and out to the garden before it rains. It’s supposed to rain for the next 3 days, be clear one day, and then rain for 3 more days. I’m hoping some of that will change, but don’t want to count on that.
True story for BooFae. Several months ago TVMan and I decided to spend the day antique hunting. So, we typed ‘antiques’ into the gps and off we went. One of the places was called St. George and Dragon. When we got there, we discovered it was not an antique store but was in fact an ‘Adult Toy Store’.
Well, currently we’re in the land of GT for our yearly trip. Unfortunately it seems like the itinerary grows every year and we barely have time to sleep let alone visit with imaginary friends. Currently I am sitting in the car (not) having fun and being nauseous while TVMan is inside chatting. I’m not really missing much, though, because tonight is just an informal meet and greet whereas the structured activities begin in the morning.
Hee. Good story, Pie. Sorry not to get to see you…
Glad you made it back to Paris safely, mmmmmmmmmmm. You seem a bit giddy about something. Why is that?
Planted carrots, snow peas and regular peas. Had an ice cream break in the middle with Local Best Friend and kids. She and I ordered the same combination independently.
Dearest Baby Thomas:
You are growing rapidly and big enough to be independent for whole minutes at a time. Plus, sitting in a car seat is fun. You can do it!!!
Love, Your imaginary aunts and uncles
Now I’m doing notes for a meeting tomorrow and doing laundry and making a list of stuff to do. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have a garage/yard sale in a couple weeks (we have a community sale every year). I’m hoping I can make it through the basement and garage and cull garage-sale items before then.
Morning all. I’m up, he isn’t. Cats are fed and I am contemplating a cup of tea. Green with lemon, or normal? Such a big decision so early in the day!
Today’s plan is to go into town and do errands. I have to pay a cheque into the bank, get my ridiculously expensive new specs and get some meat from the butcher’s for dinner. Oh, and I need two new inner tubes for my bike’s tyres. And some toothpaste. That’s going to be quite enough excitement for one day, isn’t it?
I am up also, and have had a -huge- cuppa coffee already. And a bran muffin! Now I’m … dare I say it? … rarin’ to go!
It’s supposed to be rainy most of the weekend, unfortunately. I have some errands to run, and am going to try to get them done this morning. My co-workers gave me a beautiful plant -and- a gift card to Target for Administrative Professionals day, so part of the morning will be spent at Target. Other than that, I have few plans except for doing some cooking over the weekend. I’m going to try to get to an Indian grocery store today also, so will possibly be making some curry.
So I have scrubbed my kitchen from top to bottom, washed the cabinets, emptied the fridge & freezer and the pantry, found the boxes to return my cable box and wireless router and now I am headed to clean the bathroom ready for moving day next Thursday. I did forget to go to the post office this morning to lodge my mail forward document but I will do that when the movers are here on Thursday. Busy, busy, busy!
I’m up and waiting for the coffee to finish brewing. I’ve actually been awake since about 4:30 am, but tried to sleep some more. I gave up at 5:30.
After my pedicure yesterday, I went to the mall and bought some clothes. I wasn’t really thrilled about going because I was afraid I’d gone up a size in jeans. To my pleasure, I hadn’t. Whew!
However, I’m heading back to the mall today. Besides a pair of jeans, I bought a couple of tops. I wasn’t real sure about one of the tops, but when I got home and tried it on again, I was sure I didn’t like it. Well, I don’t like the ruffles on the front. I like the rest of the top. At any rate, I’m taking it back and going to find something different.
Tonight, we’re going to a somewhat local casino to listen to a band our friends like. I’m not big on casinos, but hell, it should be fun all the same. Plus, I’m sure there’ll be dancing, so I’m always up for that.
Bathroom is now scrubbed, hall closet is organised, living room is dusted and I am showered and relaxing. Just got invited for dinner with some friends and I am contemplating going depending on what time they are eating.
Tomorrow I will iron some of the clothes mountain and then pack - nothing like being prepared to move!
I now have mr ems counting sleep as well apparently it is not a countdown system he is used to using. 11 more! :D:D
Howdy Y’all! Home from yet another day at irk. Five more to go in this marathon. ICK! Oh well, gotta earn a livin’ and all that.
MMMMMM’S I still can’t figure out exactly why you’re all excited. Sump’n about sleepin’ with the hubby 11 times, I think.
I’s tahred. Don’t wanna do anything. Need to figure out some kinda dindin. It may involve OYKW and a trip to the pizza place. Or swipin’ General Tso’s supper. I shall let him know when I decide.
