Manny - You da man! Seriously, TSD is about the only place I have time to go to anymore and you have assembled a fantastic crew at GQ. Without you it could degenerate quickly. I haven’t had my hand slapped yet (I’m pretty new), but even if/ when I do I’m sure I’ll deserve it and will remain backing you 110%.

I am also impressed with the Mod effort that goes into GQ. Not to diminish the fine efforts of the other Mods, of course.

Your job as mod isn’t easy, especially as you have to keep GQ from degenerating into MPSIMS or Pit material. Just keep it to the questions and their answers and other pertinent responses. Not a walk in the park, as anyone who follows some of the threads can see.
But, speaking as someone who has posted once or twice in GQ, you do the job masterfully.

Manny, you do a great job in spite of the dickheads who want to shoot you down.
If it wasn’t for the GQ forum, I probably would not have lurked for a while before registering as a member of SD. I came across SDMB quite by accident, and GQ was the first page that hit my screen.
As a regular reader and occasional contributor to GQ, I like it just the way it is. And that goes for the standard of moderator, too.
I, too, would like to add my thanks to Manhattan for keeping the General Questions folder free of Humble Opinions and Mundane Pointless Things, as well as offer apologies for any times I have misplaced a topic.
I don’t play much in your forum. Basically I read but haven’t posted in over six months. In the thread that got drug into the Pit I did back you up. I think you made the right call.
Do you always make the “right” call? I doubt it. You’re human. And you have to interpret and make the “best” call. From what I’ve seen, that’s what you do. You do the best you can.
And FWIW: I wouldn’t want your job for anything!
