I don’t know anyone named Jeremy Price. A very quick Yahoo search turned up nothing of any use.
The e-mail address is from a free account, which, if he hasn’t lost it already, will be lost after I toy with it for a while.
Those of you who know something about computers might check the headers…it looks to me like whoever it is is making no attempt to hide their identity, other than the free e-mail account.
Is anyone else getting mails like this? Mods, do you have this e-mail address anywhere on record as belonging to a poster?

Well, his spelling is shitty, he’s got no creativity (“You smell”?), and he’s probably on something (only drugs can get someone to mention “God” and “fucking whore” in the same sentence).
Free E-mail account or not, wouldn’t they have his IP address on file? Just show 'em the E-mail and get the little pube-choker in some deep shit.
I wonder what the “our” was about? Was it from one person?
I can’t imagine why anyone would send such a piece of trash to anyone. It didn’t even make a point; what this person is offended by, why s/he is angry?

I’m curious why you opened an email with the subject “slut.” I would’ve assumed it was pornospam and deleted it unopened. Gosh, I wonder how many nasty missives directed towards me I’ve missed out on! Let that be a lesson to you troll emailers, don’t let your misspelled, illiterate nonsense be wasted because of a giveaway subject line! :rolleyes:

I wouldn’t spend another minute trying to find out who did it, why and how to get revenge. He probably just wanted your attention, which you have now provided him.
Hit the “delete” key and be done with it. Block his address from your e-mail account. But, for pete’s sake, don’t give him the benefit of being upset. Because, frankly, a person who would send such a vile thing, especially under the veil of anonymity, simply isn’t worthy of your valuable time.

Well, it’s not like I make my gender some big secret around here. Anyone who lurks is going to figure out I’m female within a few seconds.
It’s not that I’m too incredibly angry about this, for those of you who say I shouldn’t care. I’m rather confused–the use of the first person plural seemed curious to me as well, and I don’t know of anyone who would have wanted to send this to me. I posted this so the mods could get a look at it, and perhaps if someone else had gotten a similar e-mail, they might come forward.
Only mentioned the female thing because someone suggested it was a general statement i.e. non-specific, but it clearly is specific.
The person needs a password to access their free e-mail address so presumably there is/was a cookie sitting on their hard drive and, also, info with the free e-mail provider.
The providers also claim a spam policy so they would likely assist in this kind of situation.
Regardless of the screen name, if it turns into a problem I believe the person can be traced and identified.
In the mean time, I’d be interested in any posters who have shown an interest in anything Egypt / Pyramids related as the e-mail facility appears to be just an add-on for a rather nifty site about that stuff. The person is unlikely to have just chanced across the site, they probably have a keen interest.
I can only guess what he’s cooking up in his heart of hearts.
