Sweeping? Yes. Bizarre? No. He saw a resemblance between the writing styles of people who post here, and people who post there. He then figured that it was proof that it was the same people. That hardly seems bizarre to me, just a little over-reaching.
Personally, I think it’s bad enough to be reasonably assured that whoever those people were, they were most likely members here. They could search, after all. And although I understand that some of the people in this thread don’t like me, and might just as well say, hey no harm done, it stands to reason that unless you are one of the participants, you could be the next object of their cacophony around the cauldron.

Yes, but if you just went to a demonstration of bots, and you see a certain incidents of phrases in common in my writing, I say it is bullshit to call such an accusation bullshit.

But if they are such wimps that they don’t want to confront people to their faces, so to speak, why even worry about what they say? I pay attention to what you say, even though I disagree with 95% of it, partly because you are upfront and open about it. It was people getting together and planning how to dig up dirt on me and on the SDMB adminstration. Accusations that I was Lynn’s pet. (One of the dumbest statements ever made.) Speculation that I had paid for a lot of people’s memberships. (I haven’t paid for anyone’s.) Looking to harvest past warnings. And so on. It was extremely spooky.
True. I wouldn’t say I’m worried about it, but it was a bit unsettling. Kind of like watching your own wake. Or being locked in a dark closet while you can here anonymous voices outside planning to do you harm.
