Candian here. I’m in. Hopefully the customs hoops won’t be too hard to jump through.
This Canadian would love to participate. Canadian Cadbury milk chocolate is delicious.
Firstly, I would like to ask when the heck you moved to VA, Hello Again. Secondly, Canadian in America desperately misses stuff. At the moment, I have some Mackintosh’s toffee and some Coffee Crisps hanging around, but I’d like a coupla Crunchies and maybe some Wunderbars. Please.
If it’s not too late, I’d like to get in on this, too.
I’m an American, well, an Oregonian, which is a kind of American.
One caveat: A lot of the stuff on your ‘Canadians can’t get these’ list is hard to find around here also, so if my Canadian counterpart would be so kind as to specify what he/she would like, I’ll see what I can do.
We’re in the Portland area, if that helps.
BTW, what is a Kinder Surprise?
Here’s the company’s official website.
It’s basically a little hollow milk chocolate egg (about 1.5"-2" tall) that has a plastic container inside that holds a random little toy, usually requiring assembly.
They’re pretty kitchy, but some of the toys are cool. One of my friends in university collected different ones, and he had over fifty of them.
This is your final boarding call for the Canadian-American Candy Exchange. The deadline approacheth. Let all who wish to participate, speak now.
The deadline looms, and it appears we are woefully short of Canadians. Come on fellow Canucks! Share our candy bounty with the poor saps south of the border who don’t get Smarties and Cadbury’s chocolate.
I’ll play. But I must warn that sending & receiving mail from here takes a little longer than the civilized part of the country…
I’m still in!
I’m also still in. And I’m willing to cover for two Canadian-candy-deprived 'Merkins, if needed.
I’m still in. However, I realize in my previous post I failed to specify that I’m an American and my email address is MKing99@optonline.net
The deadline for entries has passed, so any news on our exchange? Shall I start buying candies and looking into the paperwork yet?
Well, if you still have a shortage of Canadians, (and who doesn’t?), I could shorten the Merikan list by one by bowing out. Besides, if I had one Kinder Surprise, I’d undoubtably want them all, and that way lies madness.
Sorry guys, I caught up with some stuff here, but I should be getting the matchup list up tomorrow.
OK. Here are the pairs:

I have emailed the pairs for whom I have contact info but am missing email addresses from Canandiangirl, silenus, and MsRobyn. Please email me as soon as possible with your contact info so I can connect you with your partner.
The following posters were not matched with a partner due to insufficient Canadians… sorry!

***Thanks to all who participated***
Does anyone on the reject list want to do an unofficial American-to-American candy exchange? I can get Kinder eggs and other un-American things. My email’s in my profile, if anyone’s interested.
Due to the lack of Canadian partners I’m willing to help out one of those hungry Yanks, assuming that Hello Again will add me to the list even thought the deadline has passed.
If so, I’ll ask Hello Again to pick me out a partner.
I had an offer from Ginger777 to send things - but you know what, I think I’ll rely on the Mom pipeline. That way, I get Tim’s coffee as well as other goodies.
Thanks to the generosity of Anonymous Coward a new pair has been formed:
Ca799 - Anonymous Coward
To the rest of you on “the wait list” hang on just a bit more, I have not rec’d an email address contact for one of the assigned Americans. If by chance I do not hear from him/her in the next couple of days, one of you will get bounced up.
Thanks everyone for your participation!
Hey, email sent - sorry, been off for a while - also, Magic eyes, have requested your name as well.
