I think that the requirement for the soldiers quest is that a person needing the quest deliver the last hit on the last cell door. Punoqllads may also be correct, that you need to witness them returning. Does your quest update pop up when you free the last group?
Meanwhile, I’ve been playing the team enchantress some, and she’s now level 34 and happily blasting away with a Kuko Shakaku. She’s still got about 20 more levels before she’s maxed, but she has passed both Krakafinga and Seeker (and presumably all of our other sorcs) in enchant damage. She’s on sd-team4 if you want to use her, and if she levels, put points into Vitality and Fire Mastery.
Haven’t played in a while… don’t plan on playing anytime soon.
I’ve given most of my high level stuff away to other friends but I figured I’d let the SDMB crowd have the rest.
The 7% mf charms, pgheeds and the anis are gone… but there are some itmes you peeps might want.
I just checked my account and here are some of the items…
full tals
1 to fire skills/ 12% hit recov
occy
p chance
2 p nagels
low travs
marrows
buncha other stuff…
So… first come first served…
account: absoulad2
pass: absoul
Go ahead and change the pass. Heck use the chars if you with. I did really like the balance of the fire/cold sorc. I was running her with an istd occy and ptopazed shako along with ptravs. The mf was fantastic with that setup (and a ton of 7% smfcs) and she could plow thorugh about anything in Hell.
Some, but not as much lately. iampunha has been having technical difficulties, and both myself and I think Punoqllads have had an increased school load as well. Yeticus and his son haven’t been on as much lately either, and I haven’t seen Who_Me in weeks. We’ve lost a few mules, but I don’t think there was anything critical on them.
Oh, and in other news, the enchantress is now maxed, which means well over a thousand damage and a 14-minute duration. Have fun with her.
Work load for me, not school load. I’ve been playing more frequently of late, though. The countess dropped a 3-socket phase blade about two weeks ago, so I’ve been building up a tesladin of late.
At Chronos’ suggestion, I made a new mule last night, on sd-team2, over a mule that had expired. Ogs_NoobGear is for equipment for all sorts for characters of levels 1 - 27. If you have stuff that you think would be useful to characters in that range, drop it in. If you’re leveling a character in that range, grab some off of it. Alternatively, ask someone online or post in this thread to get you stuff if you don’t have access.
There are still 2 expired characters on team2, so we can make another low-level items mule if space gets tight.
And I have been burning in mules so they don’t expire in the first place. Every non-expired mule is burned in from null through 5, except for two mules in 6. Maybe tonight they will get done.
Hey, guys, sorry to kind of crash the thread here, but I figured you’d be the best first shot at figuring this out.
I’m trying to install Diablo II onto some pc’s I just got, and the video test keeps coming back saying there are no video modes found.
They’re Gateway PII-300 mhz machines, 96 mb memory, and I’ve tried using an ATI Rage Pro 3d card and a Voodoo 3 card, with the same results.
Am I missing something obvious, here? How do I not have software mode available, even if it can’t figure out how to use the 3d cards that every other game I install can use?
I run on a Mac, so I haven’t had any issues like that. However, I’m surprised you can get Windows running with only 96 MB of RAM, much less Diablo II on top of it. My Win2K machine at work chews up 256 MB without anything even running. It can’t hurt to throw more memory on there just to test things out, can it?
Oh, and in other news, the sd-team6 mules are burned in now. Of course, I’m seeing almost no one on these days. Has everyone gone over to City of Heros and/or Worlds of Warcraft?
I just got the new Pirates game. I’m hooked on that now…
I haven’t played Diablo 2 in awhile. however, if y’all need me for anything I am advailable, just post a message in this thread and I’ll come. I check my email every other day, so just post a message in this thread and I’ll come and help. I’m normally available from 8pm to 3am EST so give me notice at least 3 days in advance and I’ll help what ever your doing.
Been real busy lately…especially with Christmas related and work stuff…I’m doing payroll right now. Ian’s got me hooked on GTA San Andreas on top of all that, too. I’ll pop in every so often though…I’m not quitting D2 yet.
Win2K is incredibly memory intensive. A PII-300 would probably be running Win 98 or Me, OSes under which D2 was designed to run. The most likely explanation, given the lack of video modes, is that the video codes aren’t supported.
Bite your tongue. I’m not online often anyway because I’m in the wrong timezone, but I’ve been taking a total break from D2 lately to play Civ III.
Okay, I solved stumbling block #1 (the default installation of Win98SE I used disabled graphics accleration…). Problem #2: I’ve lost the cover off of my LOD CD case, and with it, the pin #. I realize I can box up my perfectly good CD, the rest of the case, the books and everything and ship it all back to Blizzard and for a low, low fee of $10 (plus my shipping & handling, both ways), they’ll send me a new copy. Wheee.
I’m officially done with D2x and am currently logging many hours in the World of Warcraft. I’m finding enough nods to D2 gameplay in that game to keep me interested. If you haven’t tried it yet you should!
