The day is finally here. And I get to watch the show with 500 of my closest friends! LOL, anyone else going to TARCon at MSG tonight? Will bring back lots of details tomorrow, including (hopefully) some juicy details from Phil…
I can’t even make a guess about which team is going to win this thing, but I have to root for Chip & Kim. (I win $22 if they win the $1 mil!) It’s been a really great season and I am looking forward to the next one that starts on October 2, according to the CBS website.
I’m just really, really glad that TAR won the Emmy again for Best Reality Show!
I hate to admit it, but I think Colin and Christy will win this one. They’re just too good, despite the anger issues. I would love to see the Mom’s win it all, but I don’t think they have a chance. Maybe, possibly, Chip and Kim can come through, but they can’t make any mistakes if they want to stay ahead of Colin and Christy, and Colin will be gunning for Chip after the “unfair” yield. As for Brandon and Nicole, well, who knows, maybe if they pray hard enough God will cheat for them. It may be only chance they’ve got.
Oh man, I’d love to go to the Garden tonight, but me and Cap’n NyQuil need to hit the sack as soon as it’s over. (There needs to be a coughing, wheezing, sniffling smiley … nah, that’d probably look pretty gross.)
C&C are definitely the favorites, no matter what we think of them. They know what they’re doing, and they do it right. And then they yell at each other, and get there first anyway. As much as I’d like to see the money go to the Moms or to C&K, I think Angerman and his sidekick, Punchingbag, are going to get it all.
I’m not totally discounting Chip and Kim, though. I think Kim’s got a hidden reserve of bitchslap in her fanny pack, and she and Chip are going to whip it out for the finale. I really think it might just come down to a flat-out footrace between these two teams.
The Moms, bless them, have pulled through wonderfully. I can’t recall ever seeing one of the “mom” teams make it this far before. I think that they’ve proven themselves over and over again. Their kids are certainly terribly proud of them, and if they don’t win a million bucks, some household cleaning agent advertisers are probably going to pay them a bunch of money to hawk Swiffers.
Brandon & Nicole … sigh Maybe God will come through for them. But I doubt it. I believe in a higher being of some sort, and I think that if S/he is too busy to keep my car battery from dying in the ghetto, S/he is also probably a little too tied up to care about Team Blue Lagoon.
I don’t have any money on it, so I’m really just hoping that I can stay up late enough to see the ending.
I’m just excited to see what they show of places I’ve been
I can’t wait, if I have to leave the meeting early this evening to get home on time I will (our VCR is bonkers, can’t tape I get picture but I get radio music instead of the show sound)
I can’t wait for the finale tonight! As much as I’m rooting for Chip & Kim or the Moms to pull through and win, I have a bad feeling that C&C are going to win this race.
I didn’t realize the next season started so soon on Oct. 2! I was afraid I’d have to go months again without my TAR fix.
I am so psyched! At this point, and I do hate to say this, I would rather any of the other 3 teams win, as long as C+C Anger Factory don’t. This even goes for Tossled Hair Jesus Boy and the Twig.
Resume waiting…CBS has changed the date of TAR6 to “To Be Announced”. My local paper’s TV columnist speculates that CBS will use it to plug a hole left by whichever of their new series tanks first.
There’s going to be an elimination in the middle of two-hour finale. You can’t go on to the final leg if you’ve been eliminated, so I hope one of the other teams (perhaps the Bowling Moms) still has a clue and serves Team Anger Management another Yield. Hopefully Crazy Colin’s eyes bug out so much, trying to stare down the other contestants, that they pop out of their sockets. He’ll probably blame Christie, who warned him that that might happen, for being “unsupportive”. She’ll apologize, pick his eyeballs off the ground, lick them clean, and pop them back into Colin’s eyesockets.
At the Roadblock, Brandon wusses out yet again and makes Nicole do it. As seen in the previews, this consists of climbing up a sheer rock cliff. Brandon will be down at the bottom praying for a miracle. Nicole will wander into one of many little shops dotting the Philippine countryside, walk up to the man behind the counter and ask for coffee. The man then informs her that he’s a priest and she’s in a church (the Philippines being overwhelmingly Roman Catholic) and not a Starbucks.
The teams head out to the islands. Linda continues her Colinesque meltdown and this time refuses to pay their boatman, due to a misunderstanding on the exchange rate between the Philippine peso and the US dollar. The boatman gets revenge by stranding the Bowling Moms on a deserted island with only a single coconut tree growing on it.
First hour spoiler. Don’t read if you don’t want to know who is most likely eliminated first.
The moms go home, based on pictures linked from the Television Without Pity website. Pics were snapped at a teepee building competition. The only team that didn’t appear would be the Moms.
Feeling the pressure, one Team lies to another Team and leads them astray in order to gain a crucial lead. Will it work? How will the last minute, cutthroat strategies affect the race to the finish?
Hmm… who leads who astray? I’m betting it’s C&C getting revenge on C&K… an hour and a half to go till it starts… argh
I’m happy that they won, they are nice people , congrats to them. I’m, however, still a fan of Colin and Christie. There has to be one out there, and it’s me.
