the april fools mmp

I have too!!!

And now that I locked that in ------ Spidey, it all comes down to wanting to and feeling a need to. Amusement park? Sure! Fishing? No problem! Acting responsibly ------- now wait a damn minute there bub …

Well, just looked at the clock and it’s almost 1pm. So I have been remiss in my MMP posting. Still, not all that much to report, it’s in the mid-60’s after raining a good portion of the night and cheeseburgers have been consumed for lunch.

One thing; I had just added the cheese to the burgers and was letting it melt when there was a knock on my door. Opening it a crack (I was not properly attired for company), there was some guy in a black suit and a 6-year old girl in a purple dress. The guy was holding what I took to be a bible, and he had his daughter start the pitch, which I thought was rather tasteless, so I made a brief excuse and closed the door. Possibly rude, but don’t try throwing kids in my face to push your religion, bub.

OK, done ranting. We’ll see if the soccer fields are open for practice today.

[QUOTE=Bumbazine;21575850…In other news, those damned ants are back in the kitchen. I need to figure out some way to kill 'em that won’t endanger the pups.…[/QUOTE]

We have found Terro to work well. Ants eat it and take it home, where it eventually kills everyone.

Get a Pink Panther!

Mine are for a shoot, a race, & a flight, so responsible, but fun responsible.

Rat, shame, shame, shame on you! You’ve been around here long enough to know better. You were already in your skivvies, all you needed to do was grab a broadsword.

(For you noobies who don’t know how to get rid of them, at 8am on a Sat moaning, when you’ve just gone to sleep after being up all night, well learn from the Master. No, not Unka Cecil, Wang-Ka!

Cement guys are still doing whatever it is they have to do. It’s chilly, so the stuff isn’t curing as fast as they’d like. But we can walk on it tomorrow, so there’s that. And we’ll get our final inspection on Moanday. We’re getting there…

Back to TV and yarn stuff.

Rangefinder cameras are interesting. I wish I could afford a Leica. As it is, I have an Argus C4 that will be used soon. Maybe I’ll put on a Ban-Lon shirt and a straw pork pie, and drive out in my MGB to take some pictures with it. :stuck_out_tongue:
Oh, I don’t have a Ban-Lon shirt. I’ll have to wear an aloha shirt instead.

New plumbing is installed… but the shower’s a mess. It’ll only be that way for a day. By this time tomorrow, they’ll be finishing up the shower surround. I should have taken a shower last night before the shower became unusable… but I’ll wait until tomorrow night and be the first one to christen the new shower.

OMG that’s the most awesome thing I have read in years. And I think I have a sword somewhere around here…

Nappage for a short while and the soccer fields have been cleared for practice, so I’ll be out there this afternoon.

Moooommm, no housewarming party?

Juliet, enjoy your shower, once you can take it.

There will be an open house for our customers when the shop is done.

I’m making a garlic-shrimp-pasta dish for supper. New-found recipe - hope it’s good. Especially since I’m changing it a bit.

I found a dead hummingbird. It was tucked in behind a joist hanger on the beam of the deck’s roof. We had a cold Winter. I wonder if it went there for shelter and froze to death, and it’s been there for a couple of months. Where it lay, it was a logical place to shelter.

I hate it when birds die. :frowning:

Howdy Y’all! I’ve been a lazy bear most of the day. I did go over to the church house to drag the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash cans back to where they stay durin’ the week and to check on the progress of yestiddy’s weed killin’. TWPTB still say rain is comin’ in tonight and will be here all day tomorrow. However, they also said rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon which has not happened. Sup got cooked and et. Chillage ensues.

Today I got on the scale and discovered I have reached my goal weight. I have lost 16.8 pounds, so far, about 9% of my body weight. Now I have to keep it off.

Today was the fifth day of a twelve day streak I am working. I worked M-F, will work the weekend due to big caterings, then have M-F again. I am already tired.

Blurf, to say the least.

Try to get a little rest baker. Congrats on the weight loss.

Irked, grocery shopped, took Nelson to the dog park and swung through the BBQ joint for ribs and a pup cup for Nelson. :stuck_out_tongue: He has a way of charming drive thru window folks.

So today was one of those days. My Saturday box delivery showed up today, with a grumpy driver. And the tote truck was driven by a guy who apprently got the job by being able to identify an object as a truck 2 times out of 3.:dubious::rolleyes::smack: I just gotta find a good bar to wat the canes play the Flyers tomorrow.

dogbutler’s Tailgate Rule #1: Always bring a [del]friend[/del]fall guy to the tailgate.

Congrats Baker!

Soccer practice went well, we have a visiting coach from Brazil who worked with the boys a lot and I saw some improvements, but we’ll see how the games go tomorrow. Referee early and coach late, so I expect to be weary come Sunday.

Baker, congrats on the weight loss.

LA John, sorry to hear about the dead bird. Everything dies; but we seldom see it up close anymore.

Off to bed in a few minutes, got a full day tomorrow.

Already on the choo to the big city; sheveled a while ago.

Implanted daid mobsters (or SiL’s) affect curing time.
Rotorhead, i irked at a place a few winters ago that had a slightly sloping glass cover/atrium over the rear door to the building. There was a [del]daid[/del] very slow moving avian on top of it as there was just enough of a slope to have it move/spin due to moisture conditions. When it snowed on the glass there was a ring of no snow around it. I took a series of photos of it over the days/weeks. I should post them somewhere.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out and cloudy (daylight approacheth) with a predicted high of 79 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this mornin’ and then again this afternoon. I shall head over to the church house in a little while to see what’s happenin’ over that way. Right now it’s rainin’ a bit at da cave but may not be true there. So we shall do what we can do. I hope to at least get some pine straw spread and trim back the palm trees around the useless church sign. You plan and hope for the best. That’s all one can do, right?

CupCakes yay on the weight loss! Hope irk is not too irksome and you get some rest.

Spidey, have fun!

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I shall purtify a bit, as in shave, brush teefies, and attempt to be a little presentable and head out. Rah.

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Woke stupid early again, but I wasted 2 hours playing stupid games on my tablet under the comfort of my comforter. In the last half hour, I’ve tended to the critters and breakfasted. The rest of the household is asleep. It’s foggy out there, and the concrete guys are coming back to cut stress-relief grooves in the slab. Roxy has her last swim class of this session, and I’m going to finish cleaning the dining room carpet. Fun day ahead!!

Since **Cupcakes **brought it up, I’ve also been shedding some poundage - I’ve passed the 35# mark and there’s now less of me than there’s been in a long time! I think my Dr will be pleased at my next appointment. It really hits me when I heft up a 40# bag of pellets and realize I was carrying almost that much around all the time. I guess it makes sense that my knees don’t ache as much - who’d’a thunk it? And who’d’a thunk that not snacking after supper and eating more fruits and veggies would make such a difference? Duh…

Now, to get thru today. Happy Saturday!

I know, right? Mr. Bladder wanted to say hello at six in the ayem on a Saturday. I got up and urinated, then went back to bed. I gave up trying to get back to sleep ten minutes ago (06:35). It seems the only times I can go back to sleep is on those days when I can’t stay in bed.

Happy Saturday!

Up, breakfasted, caffeinating, towels ready to go into the dryer, puppy crate cleaned. After KP, I’m going to get out on the bike. It’s overcast, but supposed to get up to 80F today.
