Finally got Roxy down for her afternoon nap… yeah. I’ll wake her in 90 minutes or so - she hasn’t had her pre-bed bottle or her sleep diaper or jammies. But she was so tired, she was a major-league crab. A little snooze should help.
Now, back to afghaning.
Howdy Y’all! Today I cleaned da cave, slothed, and made sup. All in all not a bad day. Tomorrow I get to deal with a tech guy about the ice machine at the church house. I hope he can figure out the problem. I think there’s a way to adjust the machine so it will cut off when there’s x amount of ice already made. Tomorrow I shall learn if such a thing exists. I feel like I’m gonna be an ice machine expert before all this is over. Next week I get to test emergency lights and security lights. The life of a Junior Warden is just never endin’ excitatement.
Sari hope the plumbin’ woes get fixed tomorrow. Good for you for keepin’ on folks even though it can be so frustratin’.
Juliet yikes! While we have had very little Winter in these parts, y’all have had enough Winter for three Winters it seems.
ETA: MOOOOOOM I’ve always found a nap helps when I’m a major league crab.

The rain is back. Well, it is winter and it’s good for everyone to have water instead of drought, so I’ll not complain.

Juliet, that’s the kind of stuff that I left the land of lake effects snow for. 
There are a few personal regrets and some bad decisions I made career-wise, but it’s been a decent, albeit, long strange trip.
I’m beginning to see daylight for month end, so I’ll likely get outta dodge right after lunch Friday. I’m looking forward to it. Some of the water around here is going down, so things may be back to normal soon.

I’ve got one class of 25 first graders. I only teach them once a week for an hour. They speak / understand some English and I don’t speak Chinese. They are supposed to be quiet and learn things. I’m sure that you can see where this is going.
Actually, about one third of the class is pretty good. Another third is reasonable. The others just don’t pay that much attention at times. It can get frustrating.
Yesterday was better. I’ve been finding some things which help, and also have to remember that the kids are just kids.

Swampy, I is the expert on our ice machine at irk, mainly because I’m the one who uses it the most. There should be an arm that swings up when the bin is full of ice to prevent it from making more. Remember to swing the arm back down when done cleaning said ice machine.

Actually, I poured Old Bay onto my din-din. :mad: I was sprinkling some on when the ‘put the spoon in top’ popped open. Why no, I didn’t want a tablespoon+ of Old Bay on my dinner. :mad: :mad: :mad: I managed to scoop a lot of it off but it was still pretty spicy.
so not to sound bad … are mainland Asian kids more polite than US kids in school ? ive heard that for years and years… and all you see are the no sir and yes sir on tv and movies ……

I woke Roxy a little before 8, and she wasn’t happy, but I did get her to play with me for a bit. Daughter got home about 8:30-ish, so she got to take care of Roxy’s bedtime routine. OK, I made her bottle, but I didn’t deal with the diaper or jammies, and she seemed to go down with no fussing.
What were you supposed to remind me? I forget… I can’t brain these days. And I’m back in the office, facing a pile of papers and such. They missed me…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 55 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 73 with some rain this mornin’ and cloudy this afternoon. Today I get to do laundry and go deal with the dang ice machine. The tech guy is supposed to call me about thirty minutes beforehand so’s I can meet him over to the church house. I have also called upon the assistance of the former JW (also retired) who will also meet us. I figure it best for two people to hear what tech guy has to say. Sup shall be tacos 'n fixin’s. OLÉ!
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack I must purtify and don appropriate goin’ about the public attire. Such Bother!

It’s cold out, but supposed to warm up to 42 later.
I was going to irk this morning, but decided to take the morning off.
I am exhausted, and I have stuff to do before the plumbers get here.
Most important thing on the agenda today is a long hot shower, or maybe even a long hot bath.
It is also Ripple toe nail trimming/ear cleaning day, and pay the bills day, and I still have a few things to transfer from old computer to new computer.
My son will probably want me to cook something for him, he is tired of tv dinners and pizza. I’m not tired of him eating tv dinners and pizza, makes my life a whole lot easier, but I know it’s not good for him.
I remembered what I forgot - I was supposed to call Hyundai yesterday and make an appointment to get the recalls taken care of. Dammit. I’ll call later today.
OK, back to work.
I have to remember to call the doctor to get my thyroid prescription called in.
Speaking of appointments and doctors, I’m seeing the neurologist today. Hopefully we can make some progress on what is going on with my weird tingling sensations and visual disturbances. I just want to know what’s going on so I can work on making it not happen…

Blurfage Irking. Begged out of a 6 hour working lunch meeting. I feel a little guilty for not going but I am only one deep here and pretty busy.
Hubby can’t get into the horsepistol until the 14th. He is not happy he has to live with it that long but oh, well.
Back to phone interviews. One prospective said on his resume that he has aspirations to go to Mars. Hahahahahahah Had a good laugh about that one.
