Not that I can tell, but I am reaching the age of “new mystery aches and pains every week”.
The only thing that I’ve noticed is the heatwave we’re having down under right at the moment is affecting me a lot more intensely than it usually does. Not just sweaty humidity, but the bright sunlight is relentless and seems inescapable. Next door painted their house last year, and the colour when the sunlight hits it and reflects back at me seems to be of a particular frequency that instigates the auras.
it was gloomy but 70 today ……. and I have a tale to tell
well didn’t go to the gym today so went and took my exercise outing to the dollar store with my aunt ………and walking and spacing out noticing the motley crew hanging around the storefront charity that moved in thinking to my self that was the bad thing about having such places near businesses you know dodgy people always hanging around in dodgy groups
I didnt notice a bit of uneven pavement where one slab is higher than the other tripped on it and fell face first right in front of oh 15 people my aunt would of caught me but she was 2 steps ahead of me …… couple of nice guys helped me up and a lady offered to call the emts … but I was ok
sad thing is I had know that payment was uneven for oh 35 years and I always stepped over it ……nothing bruised or injured but pride so maybe the universe was telling me to behave ……… aunt took me out for consolation snacks tho …… then when I was trying to eat dinner I almost dumped it because I decided to forego a tv tray …… I cant take me anywhere …….
Yanno what’s worse than hearing your cat horking up in the middle of the night? Hearing your spousal unit horking up n the middle of the night. :eek: **FCD **isn’t feeling well, and I suspect stress is involved. Not sure what I can do to help him.
The excavators didn’t come yesterday, which definitely pissed him off. We’re about to hit 3 days of rainy/snowy/icky weather so if they don’t do something today, we’ll be delayed at least another week. Dammit.
At least it’s my last work day this week, and tomorrow’s payday, so there’s that.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, onward into the day! Rah.
Another boss went off to the puppy farm(got fired). He couldn’t take working with Da Bitch of Da Jungle and fortified himself a little for work; only about 2 sheets to the wind but enough that he probably spoke his mind and got bounced. This makes six bosses/managers working under Da Bitch who have bailed or been driven out in less than one year. Someday someone will see where the actual root of the problem is.
Meetings upon meetings today at work. Also, today is the retirement celebration for our outgoing company president. They’re holding it in the cafeteria, but there’s no way that the cafeteria can hold that many people. I have a feeling that the vast majority of the company is going to turn up for the celebration (just cake and a speech, really) as opposed to most other retirement celebrations that include the department the person worked in, maybe some people they worked with in other departments. And my desk is darn near the cafeteria. Not right outside the doors, but close enough that I’m going to see some substantial foot traffic.
But there’s cake, so who can really be all that bothered?
Hell, ruble, with a record like that she’s a cinch to be promoted…

Shades, done that myself a couple of times. Remember sticking my leg out to walk and having that split-second realization that (1) there is a step there (2) I am going to fall and (3) I am an idiot (amazing how fast you can think when you’re falling). Like you, only pride bruised.

Rained last night but radar is showing the wet stuff moving east, getting to 63F today but then dropping into the 30’s and 40’s next week. Oh joy. Nothing much on the schedule for today, might even get a little housecleaning done…or not.
Finally got it, after 8:30pm last night. I did not get a lottery selection for the NY Marathon.
They take roughly ⅓ of the entrants & this is the third year in a row I didn’t get in. :mad:

Back at skool like normal this week, nice to have the lie-ins, not so nice to realise how close the deadlines really are- they’re coming thick and fast over the next few months, leaving me feeling thick and decidedly not fast. I shall have to knuckle down, or I’ll be turnin’ in half finished stuff.
Mind you, could be worse- the class muppet I’ve mentioned a few times (not sure how he’s still on the course) apparently got fired from his 3 week long work placement. I’m not even sure how one does that. It’s pretty much performance art at this point.
Howdy Y’all! Been an off and on rainy day. I tidied up the master bedroom closet this mornin’ and then practiced sloth in the afternoon except for makin’ sup, which was salmon patties, peas, smashed N.O.T. and bizkits. Sup has been ingested and I now continue to practice sloth.

doggio, given that it’s been five years since going into Wally World for anything but glasses (my optician practices out of there and , believe it or not, they are superb at fitting my hard to fit face). No worries about buying any more appliances there.

We got things wrapped up for EoM shortly after lunch and had a sundae party that we invited the guys in the warehouse to because they gave us a lot of help this month by dropping pallets and the like. It was also one of the guys’ last day. He’s been with us for 14 years, starting when he was about 20 and got his dream job of being a full time, professional firefighter. He’s been one on a local VFD force for several years now and is excited. He’s one of those guys that everybody he meets likes immediately and his work as a replenisher took him to nearly every department, so everybody knows him. The company even put up the best wishes TV screen, which is something rarely done for an hourly.
**FCD **is feeling better - I made him some toast and a banana - half of the BRAT diet. He didn’t want rice or applesauce. He’s tired, but he’s held his “supper” down, so that’s a good sign.
We got 9 dumptruck loads of dirt delivered and spread today - I figure 3 or 4 more will be needed. Dunno if they’ll be able to work tomorrow - the weather forecast is kinda icky.
SIL bathed Roxy and she’s having her bottle - I’m betting she falls asleep before she finishes it. I’m hoping I sleep tonight, too. I’s tahred…
