The Big Bang Theory 5/10--The Countdown Reflection (Season Finale)

Having watched the episode after having seen this comment I was watching closely and he wasn’t wearing anything on his head. But that’s Bernadettes bouquet and is over his left shoulder. Wolowitz’s head is just above it in the photo.

More important, is the red thing the first time we’ve ever seen his mother in any way?

I have to point out that the “Princess Peach” in that link is really Toad. He’s the one with the polka dot head. Peachy is just a blonde in a pink dress.

Thank you for the links to the screenshots and to the card.

I enjoyed the episode, and think the dorkiness of them all getting ordained <plus imagining them all arguing over WHO was going to do it, ending in ALL of them doing it> brings it down to normalcy for the BBT crowd. Otherwise it would have been too sniffly.

Yep.

Got any more of those so we can see the Pasadena area better??

Here’s the most Pasadena context given before it flashes to a scale that covers all of Southern California.

Surprisingly, just quickly scanning the area in Google Maps I found it.

Here’s a screenshot from Google maps with some of the common buildings highlighted (the BBT building itself is added to the actual map.

Link to the location in Google Map.

So it would appear they live on the 200 block of S. Madison Ave, Pasadena, CA.

In Season 4 Episode 05, * The Desperation Emanation*, we have the line:

“Sheldon: She’ll get lost. We no longer live at 2311 Los Robles. We now live at 311 Los Robles.”

There is a South Los Robles south of Pasadena with street numbers going up to at least 2305. It ends shortly thereafter at Huntington. North Los Robles doesn’t go that high.

In Season 5 Episode 13, The Recombination Hypothesis, we have this line regarding Leonard going across the street to use the facilities at a gas station:

“Sheldon: It’s not about you. It’s about a poor immigrant from Pakistan trying to make his way in America by working the graveyard shift at the Colorado Boulevard Chevron.”

Colorado Blvd. is the divider between North and South Los Robles. So the street numbers start there. Not exactly close to 2311. There is also no gas station on Colorado in the immediate area.

Once again, TV geography is in a world by itself. Sheldon would not approve.

I liked it, and have to admit that I teared up with the hand holding and the actually going to space at the end.

One thing, if Sheldon has an eidetic memory, then why was he reading from a card at the ceremony? It might not have bothered me so much if they hadn’t made such a big deal about it earlier in the episode with the Pringles ingredients.

Thanks !!!

So I can watch every episode from season 1 to present?

I think CBS only keeps some of the episodes up to encourage purchase of DVDs. could be wrong. can’t check from work.

You’re right, and as “season finale teases” go, that was quite a big one!

I think it was sweet that AFF got to wear the tiara that Sheldon bought her a few episodes ago.

Chekhov’s tiara.

That’s odd; it’s my sense that Sulu would be more likely than Chekhov to own a tiara. o_0

It’s a reference to the trope Checkov’s Gun. (just noticed the misspelling in my original message)

Whoosh!

With sequins!
