Howard’s space mission is moved up, conflicting with the wedding. Meanwhile, Leonard mentions something in the bedroom that surprises Penny.
The wife and I have been batting the question around since we saw the tag for this episode. What could Leonard say that would really surprise her? He’s really gay? He won’t say he loves her again, not after the last time.
Is this the last show of the season? If not anyone know how many are left?

The scene with Bernadette’s father was pretty funny, too.

The last few minutes were pre-empted for weather warnings. What happened after Howard talked to Bernadette’s father? Is Howard going into space?
They did not continue that plotline in this episode. What happens is:
This might be before or after the Howard scene: Leonard tells Penny she never answered him, she responds by kissing him and saying “no”. Further funny conversation ensues in which it’s established that they’re still together but now it’s awkward. This is definitely after: Leonard comes home to find Amy Farrah Fowler and Sheldon “playing doctor” Star Trek Style (she’s wearing a Star Trek TOS uniform and using a tricorder on him.
“I’m in Hell.”

Penny is wrong on this one. Nothing said during sex is valid and/or binding after the fact.
Penny at least didn’t dump Leonard like she did when he said he loved her. So at Howard’s wedding, I predict she’ll get wedding fever of her own. Season ending cliffhanger (my wild guess)- Penny says yes, Sheldon and Amy sleep together after the wedding, we see Howard’s mom (but from a distance)
No, we’ll see Howard’s mom in the form of an ambulance pulling away from the church…
Is Bernadette’s mom still around? Has her father met Mrs. Wolowitz yet? Who knows what may ensue.
i don’t think that radical changes can occur for more than one character for the show’s longevity.
half of Howard jokes are his being a horndog, the other half are his mother. Maybe the third half is his being nonPhD enginer.
while Penny/Leonard and Sheldon/AFF may have cliffhanger hints, i don’t think more than one can be resolved per season.
Their relationship failed before because he got too attached. Had it failed before because he cheated on her I’m sure admitting cheating again while having sex is valid.
I like Howard’s character development. The horndog angle was played out far too long. I just saw a re-run of the one where he and Raj go to a Goth club. It was cringe-worthy.
The question is whether Howard goes up or gets married. I’d love to see him be able to counter the no-PhD dig with, “astronaut.”
