I thought this episode was on TV. I thought it was the pilot.
IIRC, the SAME EXACT NURSE from this episode was in the pilot, Lenoard helps her do a crossword puzzle.
Sheldon inquires on the exit strategy once they decide for whatever reason to no go through on the sperm bank idea, for fractional T1 Bandwidth.
Or am I speaking to a different episode? In any case, the episode I describe is in the Season 1 DVD set.
There are a couple of good lines, Penny getting most of them : “Uncomfortable Silence it is then” “I didn’t sleep with 38 guys.”
But, that aside, I think the show has plateaued. It’s on a VERY GOOD plateau but the show is nearly predictable, in terms of jokes per minute, character development, and the style in how they get there. That is, I find the show well worn in. The good tiype of worn in, to the point that you feel comfortable in your shoes.
Another doper off this thread commented, if I was suggesting that BBT has jumped the shark.
I think we have a good year on this, at least. I would guess not until Next Season [5] (Man our show is growing up.) and change (3rd or 4th episode).
Also, loved the Continuity nod on the Check Engine Light.
The show is smart, and it treats it’s audience in the same way. Refreshing.
