And another thing …
The show more or less tracks calendar time. Holiday episodes occur near that holiday, people going away for the summer occurs during the summer break, etc. Most notably The Adhesive Duck Deficiency episode aired November 16, 2009 and the incident was later mentioned in The Excelsior Acquisition as having taken place on November 16th.
So why is Sheldon shopping for game consoles that came out over 4 months ago? He would have bought at least one of them during the first days of sales.
