I wouldn’t be surprised if, having given up acting, her dream role suddenly falls into her lap.
In an older thread there was speculation about her getting cast in good sci-fi series or movie giving her cred with the brainiacs. I hoped things would go down that road. Maybe she’ll get a voice-over job or something instead.
Well that would work both as an extension of her renewed “love of the craft” while still stopping acting herself and as a conduit for guest appearances.
I am not a devoted follower of the show, who did she coach?
eta: TriPolar,Nonsuch, didn’t she explicitly say she was giving up acting? While both your plot points could happen, it’s not like her ape-ist role is gonna get her a bunch of cold calls for new jobs.
Why not have Penny move in with Leonard and Sheldon? That would keep the Penny-Sheldon interaction going.
Looking forward to Penny’s bridal shower and having her model all the lingerie gifts.
Sheldon, when he realized his delivery on lectures needed improvement.
Season 4, Episode 14.
Sheldon: It has been suggested to me that acting techniques could improve my lecturing, at which, if certain tweets and blogs are to be believed, I suck the big one.
Thanks. Guess I could have guessed that.
Are kidding? I paused the dvr so I could enjoy a nice long ogle, like I do every episode. Even covered in coarse black hair, that woman can still make funny things happen in my pants.
she has been over there day and night.
there is a dining room table that could be used if she wants to do small scale mail order business.
sounds doable because there would be a bedroom door for Sheldon to knock on.
I’m thinking if Penny and Leonard actually do get married, they’ll take over the big apartment and Sheldon will move across the hall.
Does anyone else think Penny and Leonard will drive each other crazy if they live together? They’ve already shown that they get irked by each other’s personal habits, and I’d think that would only be magnified if they had to live in the midst of them all the time. Especially since Penny, who’s the more disorganized/slobby/terrible with money half of the couple, is also the dominant personality.
My explanation for that would be: Wil Wheaton is not playing himself. He is playing a character named “Wil Wheaton,” former child TV star. Drawing a fine distinction between them. It seems rather meta, but it is meaningful.
Based on things he’s said on his website there were definitely some lean years while he was coming to terms with his lost star status but in the last 5 years or so he’s made a pretty solid comeback as the voice of the geek in both writing and in a return to acting. Basically he has said that his Big Bang “evil” Wil Wheaton is pulled from those lean years where he felt underappreciated and fairly desperate to prove that his early success was not a fluke.
Once he had some success with his writing he relaxed about the auditions and his acting career improved too.
A while back Raj took a job from Sheldon to keep from getting deported. Is he still working for him? Because if so, then unless the show doesn’t care about continuity, if Sheldon quits, Raj will have to find another job at the university ASAP.
Is he still working for Sheldon? If so, and if Sheldon quits there will be an opening at the university.
And in general, is Raj even trying to become a citizen? He doesn’t sound like he ever wants to go back to India.
Penny also gave Sheldon lessons on how to be a better host in his flag podcasts.
I’m pretty sure he still is. Although if Sheldon quits, I didn’t think about Raj taking over. Of course the university might have to hold interviews even if they want Raj to have the job. But since this is fiction, maybe Sheldon quits and Raj just takes over.
As for citizenship, I’m not sure. I knew an English guy going for citizen ship a few years back. It was taking a few years and several hundred dollars, so even if Raj applied, it might take a while.
I didn’t get to watch the episode live and went to watch it on CBS’s website this morning. The still from the episode is the proposal. Way to go, dumbasses. It’s not like it ruined it for me, but I would have liked to have been surprised in-episode. I prefer to watch things on Hulu, but CBS doesn’t put much of their content on it. One of the reasons I like Hulu is that in my queue, there aren’t spoilery pictures. I had to unlike TBBT on facebook too because there was the same picture in its feed. I was already spoiled at that point, but I don’t need it next time. I don’t see what is wrong with “Big surprises last night!” and show a still from early in the episode to generate discussion. I can’t understand why they’re determined to give away the ending on every platform. I’m not super angry or anything. I’m not ragequitting. Just annoyed.
It was otherwise an ok episode.
You thought that was a surprise? It ain’t exactly up there with “JAPAN SURRENDERS”; I’ve forgotten how many times one of them has proposed to the other.
It doesn’t appear that Raj in in the US on an immigrant visa. Nor does he want to go back to India.
Leonard was drinking Negro Modelo.
