The Big Bang Theory, Season 9, Episode 20 (April 7, 2016) -- "The Big Bear Precipitation"

Bernie is from Yorba Linda, California.

Claverhouse, I was too harsh when I wrote “illegal” day care. Perhaps “unregistered” would be a better word. Mrs. Rostenkowski offers an informal arrangement to look after the neighbors’ kids. There are thousands of stay-at-home moms who do the same thing, offering reliable care at affordable rates (licensed day care is very expensive) while trying to fly under the radar of officious social service functionaries.

We’ve met Mrs. R, who is kind and capable, and we’ve seen the interior of her house, which is clean and pleasant. She’s brought up at least one child who is well-adjusted and successful. I’d trust my kid to her.

I’m think CA is pretty tight on the day-care regs, but we’re talking about over a decade ago and things may have been looser. Number of kids, hours operating, what is charged, all go into determining whether something is truly a daycare business or not, and possibly all covered by civil law outside of the jurisdiction of police. And Bernie’s mom is so nice and cute, I can’t see anyone complaining about her operation. I think her dad’s a pussycat also, look how well he plays with little Howard.

I’m pretty sure that only Bernie gets to play with Little Howard. Well, her and the robotic hand.

It was fun to see the new Wolowitz house. And Bernie’s new wardrobe choices. When did Sheldon start drinking?

Why would they all move in with Raj’s corpse?
