The Boondocks

What’s the deal? Are they running the first strips again? A drug induced flashback?
Fillers?

And is it online only, or in the paper too?

And they reset the online ‘Liberty Meadows’ a few ago too, I wonder if that’s related.

My paper doesn’t carry…subversive…comic strips. “Doonesbury” is buried back in the financial section.

Aaron McGruder’s on a 6-month hiatus (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11610503/). It’s kind of cool to see the old strips though. I didn’t catch the very beginning.

The writer is on a sabbatical (extended vacation to us working stiffs).

sigh
I should refresh before posting. Too many open tabs…

Last week Foxtrot was running a series where one of the characters was “filling in” for Mcgruder. It had its moments.

Liberty Meadows is no longer available to papers and has gone to direct distribution. I have the collections, and try to buy the monthly, but it is better than ever these days.

You’re stuck in a loop on Liberty Meadows.

Thanks!

Doonesbury and The Boondocks are buried on the last page of the first section of my paper, down at the bottom of the Op-Ed page. We’re not getting repeats of the very first strips, although that would be nice - we’re just getting a blank spot with a little thing that says Aaron MacGruder is on a sabbatical.

Fascists!
