Nonsense. Somebody rightly tweeted that they were shocked and dismayed at Frederick Douglass’s continuing silence about the Bowling Green Massacre.

I don’t know why everyone is so insistent that Frederick Douglass is dead. He was just in a rap battle a few months ago:

Well, there actually was a shooting in Bowling Green, KY. In 1997. Michael Carneal, 14, opened fire in Heath High School, killing three and wounding 5 others.

Two interesting tidbits:

1. Stephen King had written a book called Rage under the pen name of Richard Bachman. It was about a student who kills a few teachers and takes a class hostage. After the Heath High School shooting, King allowed it to go out of print. Carneal had a copy of this book in his locker at the time of the shooting.

2. My brother used to be a captain in the Kentucky prison system, and had an interaction or two with Carneal. Usually when he was taking an inmate to a court hearing.

A new website is poking fun at a claim by President Trump’s senior adviser, Kellyanne Conway, about a nonexistent “massacre” and using the controversy to raise money for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The website is called the “Bowling Green Massacre Victims Fund.”

“We all still carry the vivid memories of what horrors occurred at Bowling Green, but some still relive those moments everyday as they work to rebuild a community torn apart,” reads the website description.

The “Donate Now” button on the page redirects to the donation page for the ACLU.

I remember it well - Sinbad’s movie “Shazaam” was on HBO, and my girlfriend’s (she’s from Canada, you wouldn’t know her) pet snipe jumped up on the couch and stepped on the remote, switching the channel to GNN, and there it was. I’m confused, won’t that be too late? The best time to stop fake terrorist attacks is before they happen! I’m already hearing reports that Trump has prevented coordinated attacks at 4 separate Bloomfield’s* locations across the country. That’s the kind of aggressive, proactive approach this country needs!
