The Brown Bunny

Has anyone actually seen this newish Vincent Gallo film? Reviews have been painting it as one of the worst movies of all time. Apparently the entire film consists of Gallo’s character driving cross country with occasional stops to sleep and take a leak. Then at the end Chloe Sevigny comes up to his room and gives him head and that’s pretty much it. This last scene is supposed to be shockingly graphic, but I’ve heard that before about such recent flicks as “Center of the World”. If you’ve seen it, how bad is it exactly?

I heard that you see it all, Gallo’s hard cock going into Chloe Sevigny’s mouth and everything. Ugh, I don’t want to think about it - I love Chloe Sevigny but I’ll lose all respect for her if it’s true.

What happened to her? She used to be such a promising actress but now she’s performing hard-core blowjobs in arthouse porn?

It gave Roger Ebert cancer…indirectly and apparently.

Man, this Vincent Gallo guy seems whacked.

Chloe Sevigny needs a better agent. I mean, holy shit. Who thinks that’s a good career move? Even if it IS, what self-respecting person would perform oral sex on someone as a career move?

They (Sveigny and Gallo) were kind of coy about whether it’s her or not. I would guess it’s Gallo’s member regardless of the recipient, as it was obvious in his first film “Buffalo 66” he wanted it made clear to everyone via a silly bathroom scene where this gay kid is awe struck by the size of his endowment, that he had a huge salami.

If it’s not just a pair of lips, but you can see her head involved with the action I would think it would hard to fake that on a limited budget.

I think you’re being unfair. I get all my pornography needs met in arthouses.

Sorry to break the news to you, but everybody born in Buffalo in January 1966, like the film’s major character, is blessed with a huge salami. It has something to do with toxins dumped in landfills in Tonawanda during the time, I think.

Same here. Today I saw that infamous new hardcore film, American Splendor.

We went around on this recently:

Could this film director be a bigger idiot?

Well, it was more about Vincent Gallo’s behavior, but does deal with The Brown Bunny. Includes some informative links, as well.

I’m just back from seeing that in the East Village. Sunshine Cinemas on Houston St. Cool place - two theaters on each floor.

BTW, the previews included Chloë Sevigny in Demonlover where, she looked - to use that art-house cliche - babeliscious.
