Odalis Sharp seems to be a piece of work. Several of her children made a break for it, removing the guns from the house before getting a ride to the sheriff’s office. She is in jail, awaiting trial for abusing the children, while they are in the hands of CPS.
There is a person connected to Malheur/Bunkerville who is not in trouble with, or about to be in trouble with the law. I am certain of it. No idea who that person might be, but somebody will find them. Probably in a place with nice young men in their clean white coats.
Well damn. I really thought the government had a case and old Cliven would finally be punished. But he sure took ‘em to the woodshed with that complaint. When the judge gets to the part about Obama telling jokes about Cliven at the Correspondents’ Dinner, he’ll have no choice but to release Cliven and hand over that $50M.

These aren’t the cows you’re looking for.
It may be spooky, crazy, humorous to us Dopers; but this prosecution/persecution is reality to the Bundyites. The situation is the same for any number of dedicated single interest groups - pick one or several - prosperity church, Klan, climate deniers, evangelicals of some stripes, flat-eathers, bicyclists;), chem-trail believers, sov-cits, dittoheads, etc… With the advent of the 24 hour new cycle, facebook and social media feeds, dedicated message boards; believers are no longer exposed to alternate or opposing views. Their viewpoint becomes self-reinforcing and more focused on the extreme elements. Circling the drain. And these are in many cases, intelligent hard-working normal appearing folks. It is their TRUTH.
Case in point for me is Karl Rove. I consider him evil, the embodiment of the ugly underside of politics, but still an intelligent foe. He’s got an, “any means to an end” mentality. I expected him to be rational, able to step back and see the bigger picture, understand that his methods are unsavory but justified for his cause. HE LOST IT during the last Presidential election when Ohio election results came in. The state election web site went down the same as during the Republican primary. It was supposed to show different totals on coming up again. That set him off. The final blow was FOX putting the state in Obama’s column. He ran the halls challenging everyone about the figures. NOOOOOOOOO! The meltdown is probably on Youtube somewhere. He had swallowed the Kool-Aid (flavor-Aid, whatever) like FOX viewers and their pundits. He was taken in by the same dis-information he was spreading. I expected better. I expected him to know he/they had lost but nope, he was legitimately gob-smacked.
If everyone around you is calling the sky orange - pretty soon you begin to believe it too. The blue sky people are the unpatriotic enemy or the government.
So wait…Cliven Bundy is suing the government in the federal courts he doesn’t recognize the authority of?
As long as the government recognizes the courts’ authority, he’s golden.
A valid point insofar as any action he takes against the federal government is concerned.
However, I would wonder about the reverse implications; I think the court might consider that if you use Federal courts as a plaintiff, it becomes a little hard to argue that Federal courts don’t have jurisdiction over you as a defendant.
