Apparently it is important evidence that he does not want the bad, bad government to be mishandling. But, keeping it in his body amounts to withholding evidence, which could be an additional charge.
warning: above link to beforeitsnews goes to a very annoyingly-scripted page
I’d wish for lead poisoning from it, but the man already has more than sufficient levels of stupid going on.
I assume like Finicum he was shot by state troopers, so the bullet actually belongs to the state of Oregon. He’s refusing to return state property.
It appears that Ryan Bundy was not shot at all but was wounded by “shrapnel”. If that means a piece of Bob’s truck broke off and became embedded in Ryan, that could mean that the “shrapnel” belongs to the Finicum family – except, I think, the truck is evidence being held in impound. If the shrapnel was a piece of a flashbang, then it would clearly belong to the state or FBI.
For shits and giggles, charge him with criminal conversion (if you have that law).
Maybe it is a piece of Finicum’s clavicle.
Finicum stuck part of himself into Bundy? Time to congratulate Bundy on his new orientation.
With the help of the Oregon State Police; I’m sure it was involuntary.
The shoulder may have been saying, “no, no, no,” but the clavicle was saying, “yes, yes, yes.”
But did they make joinder?
Only CLAVICLE: a sovereign citizen
A free bone of the land?
Sounds more like Finicum’s Wake to me.
I’ll give him credit in that he seems to be trying to live by a creed that he articulated. He could have tried to keep stoically silent or rant or just be generally unhelpful, but he seems to acknowledge both what he did and that what he did was against the law; I don’t know that we could hope for much more than that as a society.
I was trying to do that joke, but I got bogged down in Glocca Morra.
A Douglas County Rancher has named his prize-winning Maine-Anjou steer after Bob Finicum. So the joke should not come from James Joyce but from Kubrick’s drill sergeant: “Only two kinds come from …”
So we can count on the thing getting loose next week, rampaging through public property and getting shot because it refuses to be taken alive?
According to the article, that’s 11 out of 26 that have been convicted. I imagine that most of them eventually will take a plea deal, except for the strong holdouts like the Bundys. I want their trial to be on national TV.
