OPB is reporting they’re up to around 30 assholes on site now, at least some from well out of state (Ohio, Arkansas, Tennessee). And looks like they’re not entirely hurting for supplies, aborted Safeway run notwithstanding.
I suppose he had a cellphone with him and called someone at the refuge. They could then come and pick him up, if they have their own vehicle. They probably won’t be using government vehicles to come into town anymore if they have any brains at all.

So the police are letting vehicles leave the compound? I don’t understand why anyone who leaves is not immediately arrested?
On today’s front page was a photo with a caption saying that what they want is for the land to be given back to the original owners. That should make the Burns Paiutes very happy.
When some unarmed African Americans tried that they were raided in two days and some of them arrested. Sad story.
The LEO strategy appears to be to let them be as pathetic and ridiculous as possible for as long as possible, without giving them any opening to decry jackbooted tyranny etc… That lets the entire “movement”, such as it is, die the sad little death it deserves. Yes, arresting these fools would be satisfying, but encouraging others to follow them would not be. If that’s the idea, it’s working fine and I’m completely behind it.
That didn’t work last time, with the grazing fees standoff. Cliven Bundy’s theft of public resources continues, and none of them have yet paid any price for their various crimes.

And don’t give ‘em an easy way to group crowd source funding. Go in With guns a blazin’ and the survivors probably raise millions or tens of millions in legal and other support.
Arrest 'em one by one over the next year. By the 5th time one of these guys goes to the crowd sourced funding well for “destruction of gubmint property” or “improper use of gubmint vehicles” then it will be greeted by a collective yawn from their base.
And, can always go full SWAT on these guys if they truly go over the line.
I too am colored confused that Papa Bundy hasn’t been at least brought to court over his legal transgressions and failure to pay for his grazing. Give him a day in court and see how it shakes out.
