Apparently, it was just a protesty thing, led by some scientist-guy named Santoulo or something – one of those guys who warned us of the dangers of chemtrails and was certain that Jade Helm was going to be “something big”. A person walked out of the FBI center and sorta-like commiserated with the protesters.
The Sontiela guy was also in some way involved in shouting down environmentalistic protesters by means of a bullhorn at the Bund’s daily press conference.
LaVoy Finicum says that his foster sons have been taken from his home as the result of his involvement in the takeover. He claims that the money he and his wife earn from fostering children are their primary source of income. smdh.
Another militant claims his children were taken away, but there’s no proof of that.

What exactly did this guy expect? They don’t allow criminals to take care of foster kids. Did these guys think this through at all?
It seems like they must have truly believed that they would trigger some sort of massive uprising that would end with either them or other like-minded people in power, because they certainly didn’t leave themselves any chance for a continued free and peaceful existence under the current system.
I love how it’s not his fault that the kids were removed. The feds must have pressured the state. It’s not possible that the child protective service said wait, what the hell kind of environment ate those kids in?

Because of logging, Harney County was once the richest county in Oregon, now one of the poorest. The protesters are right about at least one thing: the government’s logging policies put the lumber mills out of business. In the late 70s, the lumber mills provided about 800 jobs; by the end of the 80s, they were pretty much all gone. Here’s a good article about Harney County’s decline into poverty.
It’s now how they’re documenting all of their crimes on video and placing them online. They’re giving the prosecutors lots of evidence.
