In these people’s world the county sheriff is the highest authority in the land. So who does the Harney County sheriff answer to? Can’t he be ordered to end the damn thing, or is he pulling a Kim Davis?

And, of course, seems like they have upped the stakes by bringing in at least 2 young children. This is going to take time as no one wants dead children in the headlines. And extremists that are willing to die for their cause generally are willing to martyr children as well.

Rationalwiki mentioned that a few sheriffs in the USA do support those weirdos.

And like a bad penny coming up, I wasn’t surprised about what kind of Sheriff would be involved in such a scheme.

Arpaio grabbed headlines in 2011 when he went “birther” –– that is, he announced that not only did he subscribe to various conspiracy theories claiming that President Obama was not born in Hawaii and thus is not an American citizen, he intended to investigate the matter of the president’s birth certificate, and he announced in 2012 his investigators had determined that it was “definitely fraudulently.”

The investigation, crowd pleasing as it may have been for his arch-conservative audience, went nowhere

The question I do have, really seriously, is when the so called liberal media will take Trump into account for getting into bed with guys with such a record.

There is a big need for the media to look into this as I would not be surprised that other federal targets that could be taken over by the militants could happen in places with sheriffs who are friendly to them.

Dear Lord, that’s horrible. I thought the photo was just fubared due to the angle or distance or something, making his head seem so small. I couldn’t even tell the poor man had other facial deformities from it. I had no idea there was something truly wrong with him either.
