I hope y’all get to as well. As usual, this is my week on at work, so I won’t be able to attend. 
No FL trash run, just a ZG-fail on the final boss. Makig, Kreuler, Keyne, Kalathan and Me(Moobird) started out slow, but picked up speed through bosses 2 and 3. We lost Makig and picked up a random mage who knew what he was doing, but still working up his gear. Anyway, a few mistakes on the final boss and we wiped one time too many and we had to bail as people had to leave. Krueler was the only one left when I dorpped. I’m not sure if he stayed to finish the boss. It was a good attempt, and we needed on a lot of gear so hopefully we got some stuff to help.
Now that Rottingbird is getting far along in the FL dailies, I think I’m going to work on Moobird to get the bag plans. If anyone needs them (Mine-bag or Cloth-bag - Gem-bag is a tailored item) I’ll have them in about a week, maybe two.
Yeah, that was disappointing. I blew all my defensive/aggro CDs but I couldn’t get away from those ghosts. I’ve completed that boss before but only with a group with exceptional DPS.
My priest is grinding through the FL dailies too, but hasn’t unlocked any vendors yet. When I do I’ll make sure to get that gem-bag pattern in case anyone needs it.
Kalathan finished the FL dailies yesterday with 124 World Tree Marks. <sigh>. I must have missed/skipped a daily at some point during the grind. Probably a day when I didn’t feel like punting turtles, or tossing bear cubs. Who knew that it would come back to haunt me like that?
As an alchemist, which of the vendors do you think I should unlock first? Or does it even matter as an alchemist?
I’m not a blacksmith, but the Additional Armaments vendor has a couple of items that would be (minor) gear upgrades, so I’m leaning towards that one first, but if there’s a better vendor to unlock…
And it was kind of a shame about last night’s run. We were so close – but we just lacked the kind of AOE DPS that would take down those hostile spirits fast enough to keep Keyne alive. I was really hoping that we could take him down, and that the 2H DPS weapon would drop. Oh well. Another time, perhaps.
I dropped too. We were so close, and were making progress each attempt – I was starting to get a hang of the timing, and managed to add peeling from Kene into my rotation. But I didn’t feel like starting over with a fresh group.
No, I’m quite sure that’s how it’s happening for everyone. “Working as intended.”
As I type this on my smartphone, I just wanna say hi to you guys from the shore of the Big Island after seeing another beautiful sunset looking westward towards Mayo and Lanai… I sure miss doing FL dailies and 5mans with you guys… well… kinda. 
Tell ya what–you come back here and do my dailies, and I’ll take care of watching those Hawai’ian sunsets. It’s a hard sacrifice, but it’s one I’m willing to make for a friend.
Well, besides sunsets there are these little buggers that we had to contend with today…oh, and a honu.
Fortunately, sharks are easily avoided by not going into the water, or not going into the water in ways that make you look like a seal.
Busy weekend for Kalathan. I got enough Marks of the World tree to turn in the second of the three quests (don’t remember the exact name - but it’s to get the help of the ancient trees). That allowed access to trinket, relic and gear upgrades for both the DPS and Tanking spec.
Only Filling The Moonwell is left; then I don’t have to deal with the Firelands dailies (on this toon at least) any more.
Then Sunday afternoon I saw that Yeticalya was on. I’d been accumulating/transmuting materials for the Masterwork Elementium Deathblade, so I asked/begged/pleaded with Yeti to make it for me (I had all the other mats, bu he had to use his own Chaos Orbs to make it…). Equipping it upped my DPS by nearly 200/sec; can’t wait to try it in a 5-man pug.
Grats! I also leveled my Paladin to 85, but I’m not sure what to do with him. He may just be a mining mule, since I already have a hybrid 85 who already has a start on gear.

Just for accuracy, you can either kill Kruler the priest from the list, or change him to heals. At this point, I have no intention of developing shadow. I would heal as disc. if we are need of another healer, but right now I only have raid level gear on the rogue.
Most days work for me if I know ahead of time and don’t have to work, but it’s impossible to predict my work schedule.
It actually would be really helpful to have another healer.
I wish I could join you guys tonight. I’m in Dallas at a conference for work and I brought my laptop and even made sure that I had all the WoW updates and patches loaded and I’m all set up with access from my hotel room … but I forgot to pack my Authenticator.
I did think about switching my Authenticator from the keychain kind to the smartphone app, since I have my phone, but I’m guessing I would need to actually have my Authenticator in hand to do that. So I probably won’t be playing until Wednesday night at the earliest.
I was afraid someone would say that. I can start gearing him if you think it would be helpful. I am a little worried about healing through some of these encounters that damage the whole party with a disc spec. PoH seems somewhat ineffective and inefficient.
What do people use to judge gear upgrades these days? I have pretty good pvp gear, and some of it is probably better than the heroic items I’ll be able to find. For my rogue, I use shadowpanther which has these handy charts: http://www.shadowpanther.net/armor-pve.htm.
Kalathan got the last of the Marks of the World Tree I needed to turn in the third and final (“Filling the Moonwell”) quest.
If I don’t ever have to go back to the Firelands for those dailies, it’ll be too soon.
Ran a couple of heroics this afternoon; Shadowfang keep with an excellent group; albiet with a Death Knight tank that was in a bit of a hurry. Second instance was Stonecore; another good group, but the healer - a goblin priest - lord, talk about being oblivoius to your surroundings. He died on Corborus when he stood in the crystals. He died running the gaunlet down to Slabhide when a rock fell on him. He died against Slabhide by (I kid you not) standing in a fire pool. He died on one of the trash mob pulls in the hallway leading to Ozruk. He died when the entire group wiped against Ozruk (because he got too close and didn’t run away at the right time, which left us healerless at the very early stage of the fight.). He died twice while running back from the Ozruk wipe when he wandered too close to the uncleared mobs. He died again against High Priestess Azil when he didn’t move out of the way of an incoming rock.
Is anyone going to be around tonight or this weekend for some PvP? I’m really itching now to step into an arena with some of y’all. I’ll be on tonight trying to grind out my last couple of pieces of S10 gear.
And with summer winding down I hope we can start getting folks together on Monday nights again!
I’ll be on and off (make sure RB is on your friends list) Moobird is doing PvP, but he has no honor (points) so it’s hard to fill out his gear.
But speaking of gearing up, Rottingbird bought the JusticePoint boots for Moobird forgetting the fact that…I already did that 
So does anyone need leather Justice Points boots? They’re going cheap!
Treads of Fleeting Joy
I’ll try getting on tonight…I’m trying to find out the best way to spend Honor Points for PvP gear that will fill in where Conquest Point gear doesn’t.
And I also have a few holes that need to be filled with PvP enchants on some gear.
