LFR…which I did both last night (because I don’t think I will be on this coming Monday Night), and I got this trinket in the Ultraxion fight. I lost the roll to one other guy, but then he realized he already had the trinket and then gave it to me since I was second highest…yay!
Can I still queue for a 10man DS, or does the LFR25 I completed already disqualifies me?
Bird…if your group needs any more assists…my gear and skill is getting a little better…look me up if you guys need help.
That 1HP for Judgement is really nice, because you’re hitting that TV (with 3HP) button A LOT…so much so, that I topped the dps for each bossfight in Siege of Wyrmrest Temple…and when my mastery proc kicks in…I’ve done 4 or 5 TVs in a row with 3HP up…pretty sweet!
Bwah-hah-hah!!! I did an LFR tonight, and joined a group that was just getting ready to start the Madness of Deathwing. We did it in one shot, and twoGurthalak, Voice of the Deeps dropped, and I won the Need roll for one of them.
Grats, Runestar! That is a great 2h weapon to have. Can’t wait to see you hit stuff when we are grouped up.
Also, I bought a stack of inferno rubies from AH with Rasz’s gold that Doggiebanker has been holding on to…we are burning through those quicker than any other gem…I have now made 5 of each cut (str, int, agi) and are now in the guild bank, with about a dozen left over.
Also, I’m going to try to fish (from pools) about 100 fish per day (primarily Highland Guppy and Fathom Eel) to get the guild achievement and get the Seafood Magnifique recipe and make tons of it with the fish I’m storing on my alt Fishmongger (yes, 2 "g"s, not 1…I already made that mistake before)…I wouldn’t mind if somebody also fish up Lavascale Catfish (they are not fished up from pools), so we can have roughly the same ratio of these 3 ingredients for the recipe. I now have enough fish for 60 SMs, but we are about 5300 fish away from the achieve and recipe.
Partly my fault, I’m sure; the head and chest upgrades from my partial Fall of Deathwing run earlier in the week required 4 red gems and a meta gem. I think there were 3 STR gems in the bank, so I snagged them along with a meta gem. Bought the fourth one from the AH.
That’s fine Runestar, just keep Transmuting the carnelians into inferno rubies and the assorted gems into Shadowspirit Diamonds as needed. Also, make as many flasks as you can since I am starting to have excessive amounts of herbs. My farm alt is now pulling TRIPLE duty (Mining, Herbs and Fishing) all at once and is starting to have a backlog of mats…
Last night we were able to put together a full dungeon group of Dogs (Kalathan, Yeti, Jarryn, Blusmoke, and Onikyoushi). Looks like we’re starting to come back from the post-holiday slump.
We steam-rolled through the first two Hour of Twilight dungeons. Our masterful healer executed his duties with awe inspiring diligence, grace, and poise, averting all tragedies save a wipe on Queen Azshara (fight went smoothly the second time around). Blusmoke and Jarryn picked up some nice gear upgrades from drops.
One thing I was wondering, as our Monday night group grows and we get mostly 378+ gear, can we run some of the first Cata tier raids with less than a full 10? I haven’t seen any of them and prefer running with a guild group.
You can certainly try to run them with a smaller group, but I’m not sure how well it would go. I’d think you could do some of the early bosses with maybe 8 - but you’ll definitely need two tanks, two healers, and some solid DPS to pull it off.
A better choice is probably to either PuG out the rest of the raid or do the LFR with your group.
You mean Throne of the 4 Winds? We might be able to 8 or 9 man it…that seems to be the lowest of the raids, correct? Then Blackwing Descent, Bastion of Twilight, and then Firelands…work our way up with what we have…it would definitely give our Guild Experience a boost…I’m all for it.
I’m buying bags and slots for Fishmongger as I fill them up, so you can mail them to Fishmongger if you have no more room or you want to keep space open on your toons; either way is fine by me. I think I should post a weekly fish report here on what Fishmongger has so we can fill in the deficits/shortages of the 3 fish…right now, it is definitely Lavascale that we are short of since I’ve been hitting pools exclusively as of late to get our numbers up…we are now halfway to 10,000.
I picked up another glove token from LFR last night; it does not upgrade the Gauntlets of Radiant Glory that I have from a previous token…but I did get the legging token last night…piece #3! Hoping for the head or shoulder token next for the 4pc set!
Also, I answered the 2v2 call and paired up with a Discipline Priest and we went 8-1 last night! We were killing all sorts of combos…Ret&Holy Pallies (twice!), DK&DK, Mage&Druid, Lock&Druid, Rogue&Priest, a couple of other easy morsels…but we lost to a Warrior and DK, barely…on the next fight, I realized we could have beat them too…if I only had my Devotion Aura up instead of my Resistance Aura…:smack:
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. I don’t know mechanics of the fights, but it seems that most require two tanks (Kal and ?), but beyond that healing / dps shouldn’t have hard limits. Healers will have better regen & throughput than the fights are designed for, and DPS should be significantly higher. Would the fights be possible with 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 4 dps in i378 gear? That meets the 8 man requirement, and is only 3 more than our run this week.
Tanks: Kal & Moobird (Bird did say he was back on Mondays!)
Heals: Onikyoushi & Rahmon (or pug…or a longshot (Kah/Xander [please help us!]))
Dps: Yeti, Makig (if not Oni), Jarryn, Blusmoke, Donoma (and pugs if needed)
Unfortunately Kal (me) had a slip-and-fall on some ice in a parking lot yesterday. Among the casualties was a small bone in my right wrist. I’m now in a hard cast that covers most of my right forearm while leaving my fingers free, but I don’t know how well I’m going to be able to manage a mouse. At a minimum, I don’t think I’m going to be able to use it well enough to do any tanking; even a DPS role might be problematic until I get the hang of wearing this thing.
