I posted this question on the new guild board, but let me ask it here too.
My friend/coworker has been trying to create a new character on Cairne so he can join our guild (his other characters are all Alliance).
He keeps seeing that Cairne is full. Is this because he is trying to do it at a high-volume time of day (he tried all weekend), or is there no way he can create a new character there?
I know Yeticus just created a new toon, so I think my friend has to just keep trying, is that right?
Um, hi. Can I join too? Even though (1) I’m only like a level zero and (2) I’m Alliance on my “main” on a PvE server and (3) I have two toons on that other server who are level 90 combined, but I’m still not entirely sure what I’m doing?
Done! Thanks to Omencaller (Pleonast), who recognized the magic words and sent me an invite without me even having to ask for one.
Gotta say, this is my first Horde toon and my first non-caster (Raquella is a b-elf rogue), and I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I leveled from 5 to 11 yesterday, and I did a lot of that with a toddler lurking about and making Godzilla noises. It’s nice to be non-squishy for a change.
Just doing it this time to let people know that transfers are now available. Cairne may still be full, but all Legionnaires have commented on the lack of a login queue for many weeks now.
We currently have about 10 70s with a bunch of 60s. But we could use more to fill out our ranks and be able to do raids with some regularity.
It’s good that transfers in are now available. Unfortunately (not!), all my other characters are Alliance. If we decide to create an Alliance-side version of the Legion, I’ll transfer some of them in.
Demo, if you’re interested, I’ll transfer in one or two characters. Mine range from a 63 Hunter down to 20-ish Priest. Let me know what type and level you’re thinking of transferring in and I’ll move something complementery.
I finally got my new Dell 720 up and running today (it’s been sitting in my side room for 7 months unopened), got the network up and running for two computers now so I don’t have to fight with the older son to get on…so you just might see a little more frequently. I still have the game to install and updates, plus my logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse and I should be good to go!
Is anyone playing Alliance on Cairne? I’ve tried my best, but I really can’t feel the Horde-love. I’d be interested in starting an Alliance character on Cairne if there are other dopers in the Alliance.
Ugh… I got on for one night, got a level and then finals week hit.
I wouldn’t mind, I think part of the reason I keep having long gulfs without play is because everything always feels the same, an ally char might break up the monotony (PvE servers can still have both factions per account afaik). We could even make a sister guild*, not sure what to call it though.
*And then meet both guilds in the middle of Ashenvale on the full moon of every month for good natured inter-dope slaughter :p.
I went ahead and made both a Priest (with the goal of being a healer) and a Mage; both are around 6-ish. I’m game for the sister guild idea, but there’s that 10-signatory thingy…
