Well, in light of this most recent conversation, we have new guild members! I ran Dark Portal with four of them recently and they asked to join our guild. So, we now have five new level 70s in our guild. They seemed to be able to play their classes quite well, so they should be a good addition.
Yeah, it was wierd loggin in last night and seeing so many new names and so many 70’s, but since we seem to have lost some active members (what happened to Jarryn?) I’m glad we’re able to recruit some new ones.
My co-worker friend and my new alt will be joining soon, but we’re both just starting out so it’ll be months before we hit 70.

I hope it breathes a little life into our little guild.
I’m hoping to get a tank-friend to leave his guild. Maybe if we can get 10 regulars, we can actually run a raid! gasp

PS is there a reason we’re leaving them as neophytes? Are we going to create a new ‘non-doper’ guild rank, or just promote them in a week?
So they don’t steal all our “phat loot” in the guild vault! We have quite the collection of fish oil in there.
Heh, yeah it was basically to limit bank access for a week or so to make sure we all got along. I wouldn’t mind promoting them immediately but, since I only got to talk to a couple others before inviting them, I wanted to make sure no one objected first. Like LTL alluded to above, it’s not like there’s a ton of stuff though(we do have lots of recipes though, someone make a blacksmith, lol).
Really late in the game here, but if you’ll have me, I signed onto Cairn last night and started my female Blood Elf Paladin, Yeticalayla. Invite me if you see me. Level 6 in about 1.5 hours. I will be mining and blacksmithing as well.
You have enough time to get to 70 before WotLK! 
Yeticus, I started a Belf Pally the other day as well, I’m at level 5. This is my alt that I’ll be playing with my coworker so I’ll probably only play him once a week or so. I was gonna suggest we could team up sometime but you’ll probably outlevel us pretty quickly if you play more often.

Ok, thanks…I only started playing a little last month on my son’s account over on Ysondre…just tooling around; not doing much…a couple of hours every third day on average and ended up with Yeticavela. I DO NOT have this character: Yeticus . (Although that would have been cool!)…nor do I have any other other characters with just the name "Yeti ".
I made quite a bit of gold just mining and blacksmithing alot of copper chain pants and other stuff. I wish I could send all that gold over to Cairn, but I don’t know if I can do that…my guess is probably not.
My son’s guild is Ultimate Dude Club on Ysondre, but it’s a sad little guild. I can’t even team up with him since we’re using the same computer and software, so I decided to jump over to your guys server, and I now have Yeticalayla (at this time, she doesn’t show up on the search) at level 11. I figure I’ll put my skill points back into Retribution, unless there’s a better way to use her.
I will try to learn how to chat on the server, I’m not used to it all…but will try to learn. I am gone for the weekend to gamble with the wife since my birthday was yesterday, but when I get back, I will hook up with you guys. My son and I compete alot for the computer, so I won’t be on every night.
Pre-emptive warning: I am a newb on WoW, so you’ll have to be patient with me. I was pretty much the lone wolf until now. I never even grouped up to kill Knucklerot and that other undead John Pinette looking character.
There is a player named **Cursedheart **and **Heartresser **who asked for an invite today, saying he’s a friend of our newer members. After checking with our newer members, it appears that we would not welcome his membership. FYI and head’s up to all officers.
Yeticus, don’t worry about being new. Several of us were brand-new to the game when we joined the guild (and are still learning). Don’t be afraid to ask for help, even the high-level members will usually be glad to help you with difficult quests/instances if you need it.
Also, if you just have questions about the game, type /g to enter guild chat and you’ll have lots of help.
Turns out my plans for the weekend have changed…I will try to get on tonight in a few hours.
Thanks so much for setting up our new website, Demo! I’d love to see a forum there, or some other way to communicate with each other. Also it would be fun to contribute screenshots. I’ve never seen a guild site before, so am not sure what others do, but we’re small and don’t need all the bells and whistles just yet.
I’m currently testing out different CMS packages to see which would work the best. In the past I’ve done things largely piecemeal and I think it would be a lot easier to go with CMS. Whichever I choose, there will definitely be a message board, gallery, raid calendar and quick links for vent, armory, etc. I’m no artist so the package I choose will probably depend on the best skin/theme/template I can find for the CMS.

I’ve been thinking about starting up again so I have been following this thread. I tried to register but I get the following:

I tried in firefox and Explorer. Same error.
ok well instead of using the Login/Register button on the top right I went directly to the forums and registered there.
I had the same problem - unable to Register from the main page, but I could do it from the forums.
