The cold Monday morning MMP

Yipee!!! A family reunion!

If someone rich & famous like Mick Jagger can’t get no satisfaction, what makes you think that you can demand it? :dubious:

I own a 12-shot, RB-caliber pistol; I also own a few MMM*-caliber semi-autos. However, I am a far better shot than to need so much distance.
My choice: wet trout at five paces!

  • Mini MarshMallow

A mini marshmallow semi auto is much easier to hold onto than a wet trout.
It also smells better.

Having electricity is so over rated.

Uh-oh…

gotti, doggio and all you others in the path of round 2. Hope the electricity holds. Stay warm and safe.

Still don’t want N.O.L. I shall take that as a good thing.

Back to rummagin’ through files and amassin’ my list of that which is missin’. Such fun times!

Towels are all hemmed and in for a quick wash. I really should go out and move some of the snow off the driveway. It’s supposed to drop below freezing tonight and I will have to go to work tomorrow. We’ll see how that goes.

Snow! Power flickers! Cats and dogs living together!

Just heard from a friend at one of our suppliers up in middle Connecticut. They’ve been getting three inches of snow an hour since this morning. They finally said, “Screw it” and closed up shop for the day and sent everyone home.

Amazingly, we lost power for only an hour or so. When the power was out, the neighborhood kids materialized, and started throwing snowballs, making a snowman, etc. Moments after the power came back on, they all went poof and ran back inside.

We just finished shoveling the driveway. Unlike the last time when the snow was light and fluffy, this stuff was heavy and wet - more water than snow. Even now, there’s a river flowing from the house to the street. Alas, we’re promised freezing temps tonight, so leaving tomorrow could be treacherous. We shall see. But it’s supposed to be sunny and 40s tomorrow, which will be nice. And this time next week, we’re supposed to be in the 60s!! It’s just nuts.

How much longer till spring???

35 Days, 10 Hours, 48 minutes.

Accordin’ to the weather PTB next weekend we shall have temps in the upper 70s! Bring it on! Of course the annual pine tree orgy should be crankin’ up as well.

Tonight is pizza night. Fine by me. I order from teh intartoobz and OYKW picks it up. Easy way to cook!

? The anniversary of Scarlet O’Hara saying, “Why Frank, with all that good Georgia pine”?

I spent the last couple of hours ironing towels. I’m not done yet, but I needed a break.

Supper will be leftover soup because I don’t feel like cooking.

Having a nice, relaxing day off has kicked my butt!!!

I stopped by Nearby Chinese Place on my way home because there’s 8 inches of snow on the ground and that’s when Chinese food tastes the best. As is required by the MMP, I shall now share my fortune:

Don’t be over self-confident with your first impression of others.

snerk away!

scanning, scanning, over the bounding main.
Time to get my tax prep done.

in bed!

<snerk!>

Howdy from da cave! Pizza has been ordered and OYKW left his irkplace to go pick it up. Good thing cause my biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig brekkie has worn off and I’s hongry!

flytrap from late February through March is the annual orgy of the pines. Dang sticky yellow pollen all over everywhere. I have no pine trees in my yahd. I blame the neighbors for the big mess all over the place. They should keep their pine pollen on their own property.

Calm yourself.
I recall from my childhood-many pines in the Oak Forest neighborhood, go figure-that the Spring rains will wash it into the storm drains, great yellow puddles to jump in and splash, or sail paper boats.

It also gets all over vehicles, porch furniture, pool furniture, and other outside stuff. That’s why I hates it so! It’s da bear who has to clean all the pollen off those things.

Pizza is ingested. OYKW is feelin’ sinusy, poor thing. I offered him some knock out stuff if he wanted to stay at da cave, but he decided he’d rather go to his place and take knock out stuff and just go to bed. Can’t say as I blame him. We’re both kinda the same when we’re not feelin’ good. We just want to be left alone, take whatever medicine we may need, and sleep.

The stump grinder guy called me at work. When I got home to wrtie him a check he had already ground the stump into the fish pool beside the former tree.
I recovered three goldfish, one dead, two in Winter Chill Out Mode who appeared dead but recovered. I hope that the and any still in the flushed pool recover.
:frowning:
