My phone is stuck in yesterday so it says 35 degrees. I think it probably is warmer.
I wonder when my mother is coming home. She was supposed to come home Wednesday but changed their plans because of the weather.
I’ll need to move my truck before they get back.
Howdy from da cave! I stopped by and picked up the chawklit covered strawberries. I got a dozen of ‘em. They look nummy! Anywho, steaks are marinatin’, sallit is made and N.O.T. ready to be baked. I’ll also do some cheesey bread cause we like cheesey bread. I might even pop a peach cobbler into the oven. One of OYKW’s favs. Hey, he’s a spoiled brat cause, well, I spoil him a little bit. 
Yay, I’m finally back online after being off for 42 hours. It’s like Getting the DT’s, having no connection to the internet.
It’s up to 52°!! I just walked to the mailbox (all junk, of course) and it felt almost springlike! I’m about halfway thru assembling an afghan - I’m sewing together long and short rectangles into strips, then I’ll sew the strips together. Should be interesting, I’m thinking.
Supper will be the leftover soup that we didn’t have yesterday. I’m kinda wishing I’d tossed the making for bread into the bread maker. Oh well, we’ve got crackers.

Today is soooooo loooooooong. I know it’s because my vacation starts in 38 minutes. But GAH. Taking forever. I should be thankful that things haven’t been too out-of-control crazy with co-worker out for two weeks, but secretly I’m just thinking about how completely overwhelmed the department will be next week while I’m out. Then I laugh evilly to myself and count the days until I’m out of here.
I took a long hot soak in the tub and I feel good.
I don’t know what was wrong with my printer but it took forever to scan some forms I need to send to the doctor.
WYS!!! I just heard we are supposed to get MORE SNOW!

N.O.T. are bakin’ in the convection oven. There’s a peach cobbler in the regular oven. OYKW has assumed the duty of grillmaster. I really have gotten better about the idea of somebody besides me omg!!!111 aaaarrrggghhh!!! usin’ the grill. I’ve even gotten somewhat better about somebody besides me omg!!!111 aaaarrrggghhh!!! bein’ in the kitchen, as well. Still, nobody is allowed to touch the smoker. I gotta have one thing to hang on with somebody besides me omg!!!111 aaaarrrggghhh!!!.
If y’all don’t hear from me the rest of the evenin’ it’s cause we, ummmmm, got busy.

The cheap grocery store near my house does not play when it comes to discount candy. Today is Valentine’s Day, as you may have noticed. ALL of the Valentine’s candy is in the discount bin. The front door display is now all Easter candy. I scored a little sampler box for 74 cents. 
I guess there is one benefit to living next to a major freeway construction zone. I think the city of Charlotte has three snow plows, but last night, someone was running a grader on the streets, and today, a bobcat cleaned up our cul de sac. So, hooray for earthmovers!
Spaz yay for cheap chawklit score! That’s on the agenda for tomorrow.

Happy Valentine’s Day All! And TGIF. I have a three day weekend and am thrilled. I need a break. My hubby got me chocolate covered strawberries and wine plus he’s cooking a nice steak dinner. He leaves on Sunday for a week to visit his BFF and as much as I love him I am looking forward to being alone. I’ve already cleared it with my boss to bring my dog to irk next week as I live an hour away and don’t have a sitter.
My neighborhood is named Eden Pines Colony. Don’t get the colony part.

When a co-worker of mine arrived at work today she said she’d been to a Walgreen’s drugstore. She passed by the candy and gifts section and said it was absolutely packed with guys buying stuff at the last minute.
Must get the cat reset to Pacific time. Her antics this morning included dropping a stuffed animal on my head (large bear). Got her a couple of impolite comments, did not get her an early breakfast.
Car’s acting up, so must get taxes done and filed (urgh) so we have the money to get that dealt with.
