They aren’t sticking to the Ryan plan, its sticking to them. And the peasants rejoice!
No, it’s definitely mutual. One would think they would be smart enough to run away from it, and after those first few unpleasant town hall meetings is seemed like they might. But the dark forces have regrouped, and cast more spells to hold the Pubbies in thrall to it.
I hope she runs. Anyone know where I can donate to her primary campaign?
Well, it is official. She’s running for President.
I am extremely curious as to how much scrutiny she will face and how she will handle it. Will she handle it better than Palin? (probably) Will she try to moderate her more extreme positions? (no) Will she prepare more so that she doesn’t misspeak so often (maybe).
I’m not watching it, but as of 8 this evening, she was one of the people in the NH GOP debate on CNN …
Maybe the same Palin wunderkind will tutor her for her run as well.
Bachmann Learner Overdrive…?
Or, if she’s Epic Failin’ (like that Sarah Palin) “Hey, how’s that 2 + 2 = 4 workin’ out for ya…?”
I listened to part of last night’s debate, and I loved the point where, when asked about same sex marriage, she said:
“when I was a senator in Minnesota”? Really? I didn’t reallize she had stepped down already.
I think she was a state senator before running for congress
Yeah, she’s currently a Representative, not a Senator; those positions being filled admirably by Klobuchar and Franken.
Correct. Bachmann was a Senator within Minnesota’s government. She is now plays to a bigger audience. She has said that she will not run for Congress at the same time she is running for President.
Ooo. So if she goes far enough in the primaries, the local Republican party will have come up with a different candidate for her MN Congressional seat and she may end up with no political job at all.
Well, except shilling for Fox News.
But she has to quit! She announced she is running, she said so, right out loud and everything, so she has to quit! Today! At once!
Pipe dream!
You’ve got your crazy women mixed up - Palin’s the quitter.
Did Bachman at some point say that someone (presumably a Democrat) running for one office should resign?
Nope. She has announced that she won’t run for her current office again. Unfortunately, I think she has until July of 2012 to indicate that she will run again, so she could very well wash out of the presidential race before then, and still run for her current position.
No! No! She said she would quit if she was running, and she’s running, she has to quit! Now, goddamit! At once!
An interesting stat from a fairly neutral site:
“We have checked her 13 times, and seven of her claims to be false and six have been found to be ridiculously false,” PolitiFact editor Bill Adair said.
From a Minnesota Public Radio article.
From your good friends at Daily Kos, proof positive that Ms. Bachmann is a raving socialist…
I’ll stick to referring to her as a raving lunatic.
And yet, she seems to be doing well in the polls. shudder
Channel 5 “News” did a bit tonight, talking to people in Stillwater about her chances and they were saying “Oh, it’s a hometown support thing, good for her!” and “She says it like it really is”.
Eep.
