People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.
Oh, and did I mention that my mailbox got stolen Friday? I can’t
imagine why - I had painted it in the McClelllan Ancient Tartan,
and if you’re not a McClellan, it won’t mean anything to ya…the
builders saw it Friday AM, and didn’t see anyone take it, but it’s
gone gone gone. They even tore the PVC crosspiece it was sitting on
right off of the magazine slot.
a friend of mine (hi heidi!) even managed to spill 1/2 a glass of red wine on her exposed motherboard…
the PC didn’t work the next day…
but… after a few days drying off… it wuz back in action…
coz, apparently… even computers suffer hangovers and need a little coaxing…
From my most recent post in the “pity party for my keyboard” thread.
I have never met a person whose greatest need was anything other than real, unconditional love. You can find it in a simple act of kindness toward somone who needs help. There is no mistaking love. You feel it in your heart. It is the common fiber of life, the flame that heals our soul, energizes our spirit and supplies passion to our lives. It is our connection to God and to each other.

Just for comparison purposes, you know!

“I ran my hands up the drill bit, up to my eye, and put my other hand in the back of my head and felt it coming through the back of my head,” he said. “And that’s where pretty much the shock set in.”
