How could you miss the debacle that was my break-up with Dr. Boyfriend? Ugh.
Yes, we can talk as your move gets closer - t’would be a pleasure to meetcha!
And Rasa, dear, we’ll be seperated by most of the state, but don’t worry - when I get settled I’m planning a trip to northern Cal to see you, oldscratch, and others (notably my hunk-a hunky-a burnin’ love, Doobieous - but don’t tell matt_mcl! ;))
Hey Esprix. Once you get down to 10 days, let me know. we’ll start a count down for you too. And of course you must come up here. You have no excuse not too. We can head to The Cafe or something.
Esprix. I might have missed the thread, have you decided how to move out here? Did Amtrak turn out to be a good deal? Are you still going to fly?
Heh, waterj, welcome to the world of California geography. People who are from the east coast just don’t understand the distances involved when traveling in-state. “Oh, you are going up to San Francisco, just for the day then?” “No, San Francisco is six hours away” “ohhhhhh.”
pat
Amtrak does indeed seem to work for me. However, I’m already up to 217 pounds of books - but that’s only $68 to ship 'em, so I’m comfortable with that.
Have you two noticed that you could pass for brother and sister? I’ve heard that people often seek out mates that resemble them…I predict marriage!!!
BTW, when exactly is Rasa coming in? Hubby and I have two tickets to Tuesday’s Sharks game that we can’t use. If she’ll be in in time, I’d be more that willing to donate them for your first…um, date?..since you are going to be in San Jose.
Then again, if you’d rather just “hang-out at home” I’d understand that too.
