Of religion we can say this religion teaches this and that religion teaches that, but – except with regard to claims relating to historical events or other matters of verifiable fact – we cannot with any empirical/scientific certainty (as distinct from moral/spiritual certainty) say teaching X is true or false.
And for these purposes, we do not need to. We do not need to figure out whether the Demon Owl is a real supernatural being. All we need figure out is what the BG attendees actually believe. Well, we know they are prominent men and most of them were at any rate raised in mainstream Christianity or Judaism; that’s a starting point. We also know if any of them were an open pagan or Satanist or something, that is the sort of thing that would make the news. If they are all secretly part of a cult – not merely involved in BG ceremonies of debatable interpretation, but actual practicing cultists – well, that would be a very difficult secret to keep, wouldn’t it?
First, apply Occam’s Razor to the above.
Then, apply Hanlon’s Razor.
All of the above goes to the assertion that the BGers are cultists. WRT the other assertion, that they meet at BG to plot their evil schemes, see post #59 (another instance of Occam’s Razor applied).
