Ok, time to put this in gear. Five of us, Grace, Zyada, Ziactrice, Aglarond and Me, or I, went out on Friday, Jan. 24th to Dave and Busters. It was a nice test run. We had a good time and now it’s time for y’all to start joining us.

So, for right now, here’s deal.
Friday night, Feb. 7th, Dave and Busters on Composite Drive near Stemmons Fwy and Walnut Hill Lane. Time 7:30pm.

We ate dinner there, then played some arcade games. We couldn’t get a pool table so we went bowling around the corner. I’ll probably go a little early this time to try to get us a pool table.

Hey, does anyone want go bowling on February 28th at 6:00 p.m.? My professional organization is sponsoring a bowling tournament to raise money for college scholarships. There will be 24 teams with five players. I’ll pay the entry fee for the “Straight Dopers” if anyone wants to play. I’ve already proven that I’m a terrible bowler, but I’m willling to make a fool of myself (again) for a good cause.

Earlier is actually better for me - this place is less than 30 minutes from where I work and I’d rather have a place to hang.

Yay, Balance! Don’t worry about pool-playing skills - just ask Jim what my reaction was the last time we played pool and I made a shot I didn’t intend to.

I may be out of town on the 28th, but if I’m not, I’ll be able to make it. I should know in a couple of days.

You can meet at my house, it’s on the way to anywhere. Well, not Houston, but you know what I mean.

The bowling thing is at Allen Bowl, 1011 Greeville Avenue in Allen, TX. If anyone wants to go, it’s probably a good idea to meet in one central location and carpool.

Dave and Busters is…well, I don’t know really. I made Aglarond do the driving.

This looks like it’s going to be a good gathering.
Me, Grace, Zyada, Balance, Aglarond, Pete and friend. So far, so good.

I know of a couple that won’t be able to make this one but might be at the next one. Minty Green and Pilot141 are posibles next time.

Speaking of next time, we’ll be having the 3rd Friday thing on Saturday the 22nd. The reason is that it is Grace’s birthday and she can’t make it on Friday.

So, we’ll have Grace’s birthday party at Dave & Busters on Saturday the 22nd instead of Friday the 21st. Even though it messes up the schedule, it is better in that it’s actually her birthday.

Let me know if this messes up any plans, we could do both if need be.
