Nonetheless, it struck me that stolichnaya’s first lightbulb joke really was a good metaphor for Obama’s campaign message, as well as being a funny joke. What, something can’t be funny and meaningful at the same time? :dubious:

But on-topic: just in case there’s any confusion, the “powerful” Pitbull Anti-Defamation League described in the article linked to by BrainGlutton is satire, from a well-known satire site.

Real groups do exist, of course, such as Pit Bull Rescue Central, the inimitable BADRAP.org, Diane Jessup’s Working Pit Bull site, and many others. But they have very little political influence – pit bull fans and friends are on the run in many jurisdictions due to breed-specific legislation and popular prejudice.
