Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 66 Amurrkin with a predicted high of 79 for the day. It’s Spring in Winter! Hopefully this means some rain will come in tomorrow or Sunday.

flytrap parboilin’ won’t change the flavor a whole lot. I recommend it over storin’ the ribs raw if it’s gonna be upwards to three days before you get to grill 'em. One can do ribs in the oven but they’re just not as good as grilled or smoked ribs. Although, when I smoke ribs, I smoke 'em unwrapped for three hours, wrap 'em up tight in heavy duty foil and let 'em go low and slow in the oven for about a hour and a half. They’re still smokey plus they are fall off the bone tender.
I’m done channelin’ the Food Network now. 
Time for more caffiene and brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. At least it’s Firday.

So, of course, their schedule shows no performances for the time we’re lookin’ at. Why, oh why, must my life be so hard!
Spaz the site I looked at is called cabinsforyou.com and has a buttload of cabins for rent. One I really, really liked was already rented but the other I found is just as nice. Now all I need is to get JDD and Partner to say they are head over heels in love with it which they naturally should be since I picked it out.
And the reason I came in for 4 hours of doing nothing is…oh yeah the paycheck. Damn.
I’m not looking forward to going to the doctor next week. I’ll be weighed, and I’ve probably gained weight since last time.

Had to get up early this morning to go to the jobcentre- always horribly dull- but it did mean I got down to my allotment when the sun was just coming out over the frosty grass, with all the mists rising, and wee burdies singin’ everywhere.

Also spent a bit of time wrasslin’ with the brambles in the back garden- it’s only been neglected about a year, but some 'o them things I reckon I’ll need a chainsaw to get through, they’re scary! I need to get at my raspberries so’s I can move 'em down to my 'lotment, so the jungle must be braved… If I’m not back in a week, send a search party.
By the way- Flytrap ground spiders?? :eek: Really?

Happy Firday, made even better cuz I’m leaving irk at 11 to go to lunch and not come back. We’re going to a Brazilian barbeque and I get to eat meat off a sword. I plan to roll out of there.
The forecast is for upper 50s and no precipitation which is a record considering I’m in northern Illinois and it’s January. Next week back to our standard freezing balls cold.
My needling and shocking is done. Just as unpleasant as I recall it was. Now, I just have to wait five weeks for the appointment with my surgeon. Blah.

I had to do that once to test for carpal tunnel syndrome. It made me feel like a dead frog on a dissection table being shocked back to “life”
